Why does a small coriander with a short length of three inches have a long stalk that can blossom and bear fruit?

If the weather is too hot, coriander will blossom and bear fruit in advance.

Planting method of coriander:

1. Variety selection:

Choose varieties with heat tolerance, late bolting and fast growth, such as Beijing coriander and North China big leaf.

2. Soil preparation and fertilization:

Choose a plot with fertile soil, good water and fertilizer conservation performance, good irrigation and drainage, and good permeability. If parsley has not been planted for more than 5 years, it shall not be replanted. Every 667 square meters (1 mu), apply 4000 kg of decomposed farm manure and cake fertilizer 100 kg. The residues of previous crops should be removed to reduce the occurrence of pests and diseases. Use deep ploughing and fine harrow as the border, with the width of 1- 1.5m and the length of 8- 10m.

3. Soak seeds to accelerate germination;

The sowing date of planting coriander in summer is not strict. Generally, it is sown in May-June, and harvested 40-50 days after sowing. Soak the seeds before sowing to accelerate germination, so as to ensure the emergence of seedlings. Method of accelerating germination: soak the seeds in clear water for 24-30 hours, take them out and spread them on wet and pollution-free sacks with a thickness of 2-3 cm, and cover them with wet sacks. Stir 1-2 times a day at the temperature of 20~25 degrees Celsius, keep the seeds with certain moisture, and accelerate germination and sowing for 3~4 days.

4. Sow seedlings:

It is better to sow coriander in summer. After sowing, the seedlings can cover the boundary, reduce water evaporation and reduce the temperature between the surfaces. The sowing method is "sow two beds first and leave one bed". Place the mulch soil on the reserved border surface on both sides, then irrigate, evenly sow after seepage, cover the soil for 2 cm after sowing, and then sow the remaining empty border. The method is the same as sowing first. The seed consumption per 667 square meters is about 2 kilograms. After all broadcasts, suppression is carried out to keep soil moisture. If the weather is dry and the soil moisture is low, it will affect the emergence of seedlings, and it can be watered once with small water.
