When do flame clouds usually appear?
1, after the thunderstorm
Flame clouds are colored clouds that appear on the horizon at sunrise or sunset. This is a common phenomenon of atmospheric change. Flaming clouds often appear in summer, especially after thunderstorms. After the thunderstorm in summer, due to the strong evaporation on the ground, the updraft in the atmosphere plays a greater role, which leads to the thickening of the air layer. Only red and orange light can pass through the air layer and form a burning cloud.
When the sun rises in the morning.
When the sun rises in the morning, the air layer through which sunlight passes is thicker than that at noon. Only red and orange light can pass through the air layer and dye the horizon red, so you can see the scene of flaming clouds. When the sun rises, burning clouds are the most common.
When the sun goes down in the evening.
In the evening, when the sun is about to set, the flame cloud in the west of the sky is generally red, that is, the flame cloud. The appearance of flaming clouds indicates that the period of warm weather, abundant rainfall, lush life and prosperity is coming.
Reasons for burning clouds:
Sunlight is a mixture of seven colors of light: red, orange, yellow, green, cyan, blue and purple. These colors have different wavelengths, of which red light is the longest, orange light is the second, and purple light is the shortest. These light waves have different penetrating power.
Molecules in the air and countless tiny dust and water droplets float in the air, which can disperse the colors of the sun. This is called scattering. In the morning or evening, sunlight is oblique, and the distance through the air layer is long, so it is scattered and greatly weakened. Purple light is the most weakened, and red light or orange light is the least weakened.
These weakened colored sunlight shines on the sky and clouds, forming bright and dazzling rosy clouds. When the sun just comes out or is about to set, the clouds on the horizon are often red, like charred clouds, called sunrise and sunset, and vividly called "flaming clouds".
