Rudong County belongs to Nantong City. Rudong is located in the north wing of the Yangtze River Delta, east of Jiangsu Province and northeast of Nantong City. It is shaped like a huge palm, lying flat on the coast of the South Yellow Sea. The eastern and northern parts of the county are adjacent to the Yellow Sea, facing Japan and South Korea across the sea.
