2. Check the weather before going to the West Island. You cannot go to the island if there are strong winds and waves. However, the sun during the day can bake you, so sun protection is a must, especially when going to Sanya in the summer. Sunscreen of SPF40, PA++ or above is a must, preferably one that is waterproof and sandproof. Even so, you still need to reapply it in time after going into the sea! I witnessed with my own eyes a girl’s skin that was red and swollen from the sun! Babies have delicate skin and should use some sunscreen that does not contain whitening and is suitable for sensitive skin. We specially gave our baby a sunscreen from Shiseido that is suitable for children! After-sun repair cream is also a particularly suitable piece of equipment. Another important sun protection item is sunglasses, which adults will definitely not forget. It is mainly for children, so be sure to use it to prevent the sun from being too dazzling and affecting your vision.

You don’t need to bring a lot of clothes when going to Sanya, just three sets of light single clothes. In fact, long sleeves are necessary because they can protect you from the sun. We flew directly from Nanjing to Sanya. There are relatively few flights from Nanjing to Sanya. There are only two flights from China Capital Airlines and China Eastern Airlines, both of which depart at night. The most important thing is that there are few discounts on air tickets! If it were not inconvenient to carry a baby, you should really choose a flight from Shanghai. Even including the high-speed rail cost from Nanjing to Shanghai, it will save a lot more than direct flight from Nanjing! The flight time from Nanjing to Sanya is about 2 hours and 50 minutes. , Friends with babies must prepare things for their babies to play on the plane, otherwise the babies will not be able to sit still for such a long time. Fortunately, the punctuality rate of these two flights is relatively high, and it is rare to have to wait for a long time on the plane to take off.

The transportation in Sanya is very convenient. There is bus No. 8 from Phoenix Airport to downtown Sanya and Dadonghai, but we still chose to take a taxi when we arrived in Hainan at night with our children. We took a "black car" (non-operated car) and paid 70 yuan to the family hotel where we stayed in Dadonghai. This price should not be too bad. Of course, if you take a real taxi and use the meter, you definitely don’t want it! Taxi drivers in Sanya are all part-time tour guides. They will proactively give you their business cards and help you find accommodation, meals, and transportation. They can even send you to some scenic spots for free because the scenic spots will give them rebates. Of course, it is still not recommended that you go to hotels and restaurants taken by taxi drivers. Everyone knows the reasons.

We started living in Dadonghai. In fact, this is a very convenient distribution point in all aspects. From Dadonghai, you can easily take various buses and coaches to various attractions, seafood shops and duty-free shops, such as the famous First Market, Chunyuan , the bus price is 1 yuan, the air-conditioning is sufficient, and it is not too crowded. There are ticket attendants on the No. 8 bus to answer questions. The tourist bus fare is 5 yuan, and the seats are just more comfortable. It is also very convenient to take a taxi in Dadonghai. It costs about 40 yuan to get a meter and negotiate the price to Yalong Bay. We did not encounter any taxi drivers carrying passengers.

The transportation in Yalong Bay is indeed slightly inconvenient, but it is still relatively speaking. For example, at the Golden Palm Resort Hotel where we stayed later, there were buses to the city and Dadonghai just after a short wait in front of the hotel. It only takes about 25 minutes to get to Dadonghai and about 35 minutes to the city. It is still convenient to go to eat or shop. Very convenient. It’s just that these cars are collected earlier in the evening. Basically, you can only take a taxi when returning to Yalong Bay after 6:30. Of course, you can choose to take a bus to Yulin Market, Hongsha Wharf or even Tiandu Town and then take a taxi, which will save you some money. If you If you care about frugality. If you join a travel agency from Yalong Bay to go to scenic spots, you will often be asked to add 10-20 yuan to pick them up. Otherwise, you will have to go to Dadonghai and wait for the bus.

The urban area of ??Sanya is very small. If the basic activity area is just for shopping and eating seafood, it is within the range of bus No. 2 and bus No. 4. It is very convenient. You should book accommodation online before traveling to Sanya. Sanya is a city that basically relies on tourism. There are many hotels of various levels. The family hotel industry is very developed, and the service quality and hardware conditions are similar. It is worth noting that when traveling to Sanya, you mainly come to enjoy the sea, so the distance of the accommodation from the seaside is the most worthy of consideration. As for whether it has a sea view room or not, it is not really that important. We stayed in Dadonghai for the first three days and booked online at the Clownfish Family Hotel in Dadonghai Garden opposite Dadonghai Square. It is really very convenient, 3 minutes away from Dadonghai Beach. Dadonghai Garden is a dormitory for a certain navy unit. The property management is very good, the community environment is also very good, and there is no problem with public security. There is also a Guorun supermarket next to it where you can buy fruits, food, swimming supplies, etc. at supermarket prices. There is South China Hotel next to Dadonghai Plaza. It is really close to the seaside and should be a good accommodation choice. Here I want to talk about the Clownfish Family Hotel where we stayed. The housekeeper, who is younger than 1mm, is very considerate. The room is very neat and tidy. Swimming rings, sand play tools, etc. are also provided. Our baby likes it. When traveling to Sanya, if you want to save money, a family hotel is definitely the best choice, but remember that the key is to be close to the sea, so you can put on your swimsuit and go to the beach, and come back to take a shower very quickly, and the children will not catch cold.

No matter how nice the Dadonghai is, going to Yalong Bay in Sanya is a must-visit beach. When visiting Yalong Bay, it is best to stay there for a few days, so that you can experience what a vacation is. When we Chinese travel in the past, we tend to pay too much attention to which scenic spots we go to, but ignore that the meaning of travel itself is self-relaxation. Hotel prices in Yalong Bay are relatively high, basically upwards of 500/day, with no upper limit. For our middle-income people, it is necessary to not only enjoy the comfort of a seaside vacation but also save money to find a cost-effective hotel.

I can't comment on the top wine spots, but the only cost-effective hotels in Yalong Bay are Palme d'Or, Cactus and Universal City. We compared and chose Palme d'Or. I booked the hotel’s garden view standard room through Hainan Tongcheng, and the price was quite reasonable. The so-called garden view is facing the hotel's garden. There is a big coconut tree in front of our window. The baby likes it and even painted a coconut tree! The standard rooms of the Golden Palm Hotel are not spacious. You can play water basketball and volleyball in the swimming pool, and the children's pool is suitable for babies. The swimming pool water is very clean, the only drawback is that it is too sunny during the day. The biggest advantage of Golden Palm is that although it is not the most upscale hotel in Yalong Bay, it still has a beautiful private beach, and from the hotel lobby to the beach, you only need to cross a small road, which basically takes about 1 minute. There is also a very nice lawn on the way to the beach. After staying at the Golden Palm Hotel, we swam in Yalong Bay every day, played in the sand, or played in the hotel pool and walked in the garden. It was really a leisurely vacation!

The biggest difference between living in Yalong Bay and living in Dadonghai is that the former is for vacation and the latter is for fun. This is how we feel! If you are just visiting Sanya, there is no big difference between Dadonghai and Yalong Bay. They also have beautiful sea and beaches. But when you come to Sanya for vacation, you have to stay in Yalong Bay. Therefore, it is highly recommended to stay in Yalong Bay for a few nights. The quality of accommodation may be high or low, but the tranquility and comfort you experience should be the same.
