Shamian. This is another free place worth visiting in Guangzhou. It is said that it was recently rated as the national AAAAA scenic spot. It used to be an important commercial port in Guangzhou. More than a hundred years later, more than a dozen countries set up consulates in Shamian, nine foreign banks and more than 40 foreign firms opened in Shamian, and Guangdong Customs Guild Hall and Guangzhou Guild Hall were established in Shamian one after another.
