Why is Guangdong so hot?
On July 25th, 2022, the daily maximum temperature of 62 of the 86 national weather stations in the province exceeded 37℃ (accounting for 72% of the whole province), among which the daily maximum temperatures of Wuhua, Shunde and Gaoyao were 39.6℃, 38.8℃ and 38.8℃ respectively, which broke the extreme maximum temperature record in July since the meteorological record of the station was established.
Four seasons in Guangdong
1. The northeast wind or the north wind prevails in winter. After a long journey, the dry and cold air from the north was heated and humidified, and its intensity was greatly weakened. In Guangdong, the wind speed has become smaller and the temperature is higher, so the winter is warmer. Winter is the dry season in Guangzhou, with less precipitation, sunny weather and plenty of sunshine.
2. Spring is a transitional season, and the temperature and precipitation are on the rise. This time is the season of alternating cold and warm, and the weather is very unstable. In some years, there will be bright spring, and in some years, there will be continuous low temperature, rainy and cold weather in spring.
3. In summer, due to the influence of ocean air mass, generally southerly winds blow, bringing abundant rain. June is the peak of rainfall in the first flood season in Guangdong, and there are many opportunities for heavy rain in various places. The hottest month of the year is July, and the average monthly temperature in the province reaches 28 to 29 degrees Celsius.
In autumn, cold air began to affect Guangdong, and the temperature gradually dropped. At this time, the weather is fine, there is little precipitation, and the dry season begins. The number of tropical cyclone activities decreased.
