At this time, the intensity of subtropical high is weak, and it is located in the east and south, which is conducive to the influence of cold air on southwest China.

At the same time, the plateau height field is low, and there are constantly plateau short-wave troughs affecting the Sichuan Basin. Under the double attack of cold air in the north and short-wave trough in the plateau, continuous rainy weather occurred in many places in Chongqing.

Since June 19, the subtropical high has extended westward again, but the ridge line is still in the south, and the northeast vortex is gradually weakened, but the plateau height field is still low. The plateau short-wave trough continues to affect the Sichuan Basin, and there are more rainy days in Chongqing.
