Brief introduction of space weather

Violent activities such as solar flares and coronal mass ejections have brought serious influence and harm to the earth's magnetosphere, ionosphere and upper atmosphere, satellite operation and safety, human health and communication damage. People call this short-time scale change caused by solar activity space weather. Compared with the ground weather, space weather occurs more than 30 kilometers away from the ground. The physical parameters involved in space weather are quite different from atmospheric weather.
