There is one (Tianhe Diversion Canal) under the radar station of Shaozidun, one (Fengtai Mountain Canal) from Fengtai Reservoir to Dushan Forest Farm, one (Yinkeng Canal) near Liang Xiu Temple in Xianyan, one (Eight Canal) from Bashui Ancient Road to Jinhe Reservoir and one (Houkeng Canal) from Houkeng Reservoir to Huachuankeng Qingchi.

Do you know which one on Rhoda Mountain is called the Red Flag Canal? In fact, it refers to the one between Chashan Dianzhu Village and Wanglong Reservoir, which is located on the cliff of Wolong Canyon. Many people think that the Tianhe Canal behind Baijiajian is called Hongqi Canal, but it is actually Tianhe Canal. The real Daluoshan Red Flag Canal refers to the earliest one built, that is, the Chashan one.

Chashan, a red flag canal, is overgrown with weeds, and some places have collapsed and basically abandoned. At the end of the canal, there is a thousand steps leading to Wanglong Reservoir. As we all know, there are Baishui Thousand Steps Ladder, Zheng 'ao Thousand Steps Ladder and Bashui Thousand Steps Ladder in Rhoda, but few people have walked on this Dragon King Thousand Steps Ladder in Chashan. On October 9th, 2022/KLOC-0, Treasure moved into the first batch of Luoshan in China. They didn't take the usual road, but started from the five beautiful gardens in Chashan, took Zhutouling, climbed a heavy building, crossed Maotian Reservoir to Pan Yang, and finally arrived at Dianzhu, took the Red Flag Canal, and took a thousand steps off the Dragon King. A team of 47 people completed a special experience. Especially in the morning, it was raining all the time, and everyone gathered in Wu Meijing Garden rain or shine. However, as soon as the trip started, the rain stopped. It was a beautiful day. Let's successfully complete the trip of Chashan Hongqi Canal-Dragon King Thousand Steps Ladder.

Take the Chashan Hongqi Canal and start from Dianzhu Village. This village is located in the central and western part of the Rhoda Mountains, with an average elevation of over 500 meters. The territory is densely forested, with criss-crossing streams and overlapping rocks, which is of endless interest. Its "Dragon Ridge" is known as the first strange stone landscape in Rhoda. Sun, the "King of Rivers" in the Tang Dynasty, moved here in Huang Chao after the uprising. It has been 1 100 years, and it is an ancient Daluoshan village.

The smoky Rhoda Mountain has a unique scenery, standing on the mountain pond dam at the entrance of Shizhu Village, and a unique stone on the opposite cliff is eye-catching.

The direction indicated by the arrow is to take the entrance of Hongqi Canal from the dam and walk down the stairs. You will see a canal, and Wolong Canyon is on the right.

The canal that appears on the edge of the cliff is the Hongqi Canal, which was built in the 1950s and extends from Shizhu Shantang to the downstream Wanglong Reservoir for a thousand steps, with a total length of more than 500 to 600 meters. The canal twists and turns near the cliff. Along the way, you will see several stones lying in the middle of the canal. In some places, you have to jump into the canal to move on. However, the canal has dried up and there is no water. Although the road is difficult and dangerous, such a donkey path adds a lot of fun to mountaineering.

Among the six famous canals in Rhoda, Tianhe Canal is the longest and Fengtai Mountain Canal is the most dangerous. In fact, the red flag canal in front of us is also very thrilling to walk. There is an abyss at the foot, but the branches and weeds growing on the cliff and in the crevices have eased many people's fear of heights and look less dangerous. But despite this, many teammates who walked the canal for the first time still felt scared.

Standing on the Hongqi Canal, you can hear the gurgling stream in the valley below. When the water is urgent, it seems to be patting the shore. When the water is slow, it sounds like a piano, sounds like nature, and makes people feel relaxed and happy. Looking from the canal to the north, the red rock tip in the smoke is hidden from time to time, towering abruptly and soaring into the sky, which is particularly spectacular.

Go straight along the canal and a reservoir appears on the lower right. This is Longwang Reservoir, and the Longwang Temple next to it is completely in sight. Due to the bad weather today, the scenery around Wang Long Reservoir is not very clear, but the picture shrouded in smoke is like a fairyland on earth, which is also rare. Wang Long Reservoir is also a famous scenic spot in Chashan, and there is a rat ladder ridge next to it, which is the Hongfeng Ancient Road.

After visiting Wang Long Reservoir, you will find a trail that extends almost in a straight line. Because there are dense forests on both sides of the trail, the line of sight ahead is blocked and there is no end in sight. This is the Dragon King Thousand Steps Ladder in Chashan. Rhoda has six famous thousand-step ladders, but few people have set foot on this one. Today, there are nearly 50 people in the large army, and only two or three people have walked on it.

If you really want to appreciate this thousand-step ladder, the best place is to go up from the ancient road opposite the reservoir. Looking at the cliff here, you can find this thousand-step ladder hanging high on the towering cliff, which is particularly spectacular. But if you don't pay attention at ordinary times, it's hard to find a thousand-step ladder here.

I walked several times in front of the Dragon King's Thousand Steps Ladder, and some of them were still very dangerous. One place is a cliff without steps, and there is a rope tied to the pipeline on the side. You have to pull this rope to be safe. Although there are steps in some sections, those stones are extremely steep and difficult to walk at all. Only by squatting down and walking down, you need to be cautious step by step. Looking down, it is Wang Long Reservoir. This road condition is a great test for many people who are timid and afraid of heights. Besides, it rained this morning, and it is still foggy. Walking a thousand steps on this slippery road is a challenge for anyone. However, we don't fight uncertain wars. As long as we make full security preparations and lead the large troops to triumph from this thousand-step ladder, we still have confidence.

Tired of walking, just take a rest on the thousand-step ladder and see the scenery. Seen from the foot of the mountain, the dam of Wang Long Reservoir is like a straight belt connecting two green hills, and the reservoir is like a mirror hidden between green hills and trees.

From Shizhu Village to Chashan Wanglong Reservoir, most people take the ancient road of Rat Ladder Ridge, and some outdoor donkey friends also climb Wolong Canyon. Today, the combination of the Red Flag Canal and the Thousand Steps Ladder is definitely a classic donkey trip. Of course, this route is only suitable for outdoor mountaineering teams and is not recommended for ordinary tourists. It can be said that in the new route, the combination of canal and Qianbu is the most perfect, and only the perfect cooperation between Chashan Hongqi Canal and Qianbu is the most perfect. If the red flag canal and the thousand-step ladder are repaired again, the safety factor will be higher, and I believe more people will walk.

Wanglong reservoir

"Overcome many difficulties and taste the joy of victory" was used by several teammates who took this route for the first time to describe this activity. Looking up at the thousand stairs just down by the Dragon King Lake is a different kind of scenery. Some teammates described the Red Flag Canal and Thousand Steps in Chashan as "the wildest canal and the most thrilling thousand steps ladder in Rhoda". In my opinion, there is no doubt that the Red Flag Canal is the wildest Red Flag Canal in Rhoda Mountain Area. Compared with several other thousand-step ladders in Rhoda, the Dragon King's thousand-step ladder is definitely more thrilling to walk, whether it is the safety of the steps or the railings on the side.

Wo Yun Temple

From Dianthus Village, take the Red Flag Canal down one thousand steps, and then go back to Wu Meijing Garden through the ancient village of Luo Feng. This is a very good donkey-friend line, especially the combination of Hongqi Canal and Qianbu will make people have different experiences, but for ordinary tourists, it is most suitable to take the rat ladder ridge from Shizhu Village.
