What does a group of two districts and three circles in Shanxi mean?

Two districts, three circles and one group in Shanxi refer to the urban agglomeration in central Shanxi. The two zones refer to the Shanxi Comprehensive Reform Demonstration Zone formed by integrating eight national and provincial Industry-University-Research parks in Taiyuan and Jinzhong on 20 17, and the Taixin Economic Zone just officially announced. The third circle is the urban agglomeration of northern Shanxi, southeastern Shanxi and southern Shanxi with Datong, Changzhi and Linfen as the core.

Shanxi Province is one of the 34 provincial administrative regions under the jurisdiction of People's Republic of China (PRC). Shanxi is located in the north of China, bordering Inner Mongolia in the north, Hebei in the east, Henan in the south and Shaanxi in the west. Shanxi is named after its location in the west of Taihang Mountain, with Taihang Mountain in the east, Luliang Mountain in the west, Yellow River in the south and Great Wall in the north. Shanxi is a typical mountainous plateau covered by loess, with high terrain in the northeast and low terrain in the southwest, with an altitude of 1500 meters. It belongs to temperate continental monsoon climate, with long winter, cold and dry. Summer is long in the south, short in the north, and the rain is concentrated. In spring, the climate is changeable and there are more sandstorms. Autumn is short and the weather is mild.
