Shanxi Province is one of the 34 provincial administrative regions under the jurisdiction of People's Republic of China (PRC). Shanxi is located in the north of China, bordering Inner Mongolia in the north, Hebei in the east, Henan in the south and Shaanxi in the west. Shanxi is named after its location in the west of Taihang Mountain, with Taihang Mountain in the east, Luliang Mountain in the west, Yellow River in the south and Great Wall in the north.
