The causes of cyclones and anticyclones

Cyclone or low pressure, anticyclone or high pressure are different descriptions of the same weather system. Low pressure and high pressure describe the atmospheric pressure of the weather system, and cyclones and anticyclones describe the airflow of the weather system.

Their reasons fall into two categories. One is the heat. For example, in summer, the mainland heats up faster than the ocean, the temperature is high, the airflow rises, and a thermal depression forms on the mainland. In winter, the mainland cools faster than the ocean, the temperature is low, the airflow sinks, and a cold depression forms on the mainland.

One is the dynamic reason, such as the subtropical high, which is a thermal high pressure, not because of the low temperature, but because of gravity, and the airflow sinks to form a high pressure.
