Working hours: (1983- 1984) Professor of Nanjing University, former Party Secretary of Nanjing University and President of Nantah Alumni Association. Main research interests: climate change, disaster reduction and prevention, atmospheric energy balance and water cycle.
His main works are: Earth's water environment and climatology.

Working hours: (1984- 1993) Academician of China Academy of Sciences, Director of the Steering Committee of Atmospheric Science Teaching of the Ministry of Education, Chairman of the Chinese Meteorological Society, and Chairman of the Mesoscale Working Group of the International Dynamic Meteorological Committee. 1956 graduated from the Meteorological Department of Nanjing University.

He has been engaged in the research of climate dynamics and weather dynamics for a long time and is a well-known expert and academic leader in this field in China.

The main representative works are: Basis of Air Pollution Prediction and Prevention, Course of Air Pollution Meteorology and Basis of Boundary Layer Meteorology.
