Why is the temperature in Northeast China so high these days? What is the cause of the abnormality?

Meteorologists said today that the arid areas in northeast China are spreading to the south, north and east.

Zhang Qiang, director of the Climate Evaluation and Environment Office of the National Climate Center, said in an interview today that the drought in eastern Inner Mongolia, western Jilin and northwestern Liaoning is serious. Different degrees of drought have also occurred in southern Heilongjiang, northern Hebei and southern Liaoning. In addition, the drought in some parts of Shanxi is heavier.

Meteorologists said that less precipitation and high temperature were the main reasons for the drought. This spring, the precipitation in southeastern Inner Mongolia and western Jilin was unusually low, and the temperature was on the high side. Frequent windy weather led to extremely serious spring drought in these areas after four consecutive years of rain. In summer (June), the weather in the southeastern part of Northeast China and the eastern part of Inner Mongolia is sunny, and the temperature is abnormally high, with the highest temperature reaching above 35 degrees Celsius, and the highest temperatures in parts of Inner Mongolia and Jilin reach above 37.5 degrees Celsius respectively. High temperature leads to large evaporation, and the soil can't meet the water demand of crop growth.

According to the national climate drought monitoring on June 8, at present, there are serious droughts in central and eastern Inner Mongolia, western Jilin and northwestern Liaoning. Statistics of climate drought monitoring indicators show that 40% of Inner Mongolia has drought, and 28% of them have severe or extraordinarily serious drought. Sixty-five percent of the areas in Jilin have been monitored for drought, and 62 percent of them have reached the level of severe drought or special drought. Eighty-five percent of Liaoning is dry; Drought has occurred in 33% of Heilongjiang Province.

The Central Meteorological Observatory predicts that in the next ten days, there will be basically no precipitation in southeastern Inner Mongolia and western Liaoning, and there will be showers in western Jilin and southeastern Heilongjiang, but the precipitation will be basically below 10 cm. At the same time, the temperature in this area is higher than normal. The drought in the above areas will be further aggravated.
