Who was the founder of Islam?
The founder of Islam is actually "Muhammad".
Muhammad (570-632) was the founder of Islam. Muhammad came from a declining aristocratic family of Gulaisi tribe in Mecca. His father died before he was born, and his mother died when he was six. He was raised by his grandfather and uncle.
He had a hard childhood and had to support himself since childhood. He used to be a herdsman and later went into business with his uncle. He has been to Palestine, Syria and many other areas. During his business career, Muhammad had a deep understanding of the sufferings of the Arab people. During their business in Palestine, he and his uncle studied the teachings of Christianity and Judaism, learned a lot of myths and legends, and learned about the local customs of these areas. In addition, he also learned the skills of observing the weather, predicting sandstorms and treating diseases. All these laid the foundation for his later creation of Islam. But he is too poor, and his ambition can't be realized without the guarantee of money and status.
At the age of 25, Mohammed married the widow of a wealthy merchant in Mecca named Khadijah, who was much older than him. From then on, he was financially secure and began to enter the upper class. Muhammad's talent gradually emerged.
Once, Kelbai Temple collapsed due to disrepair. After the restoration of the ancient temple, there was a dispute about who put the black meteorite back in its original place. Some big noble in Mecca are trying to get the meteorite back by themselves to improve their status. Everyone refused to be humble, and there was a big fight in the temple. Then Muhammad came out. He took off his coat, spread it on the ground, and then put the meteorite on it. Then he asked the disputing people to send a representative to lift a corner of his coat and put the meteorite back. The argument subsided, and everyone said that Muhammad was really a smart and knowledgeable man. Since then, Muhammad's reputation and status have also been improved. Outside Mecca, there is a quiet hill, which is called Mount Sheila by the locals.
Muhammad often meditates alone in a small cave in the mountains. He has been thinking about creating a religion that can be accepted by most Arabs, so that those compatriots who are suffering all day can be freed. Referring to the classics of Christianity and Judaism, he tried to combine what he thought was acceptable to Arabs with some teachings in primitive Arab religions. But this job is too hard. Muhammad often stays in the mountains for many days. Finally, one day on 6 10, he suddenly became enlightened and figured out the most crucial truth. Soon, he came down from the mountain and began to preach, which became Islam.
The word "Islam" originally meant "obedience" in Arabic. Muhammad declared that there is only one God in the world-Allah, who is the creator of the world and the creator of mankind. Everything in the world is arranged according to Allah's will. Everything about people is also given by Allah. Only by obeying Allah before you die can you enter heaven, or you will be sent to hell after you die. Muhammad claimed to be the messenger of God. Because he is the first believer of Allah, the prophet of believers, and the messenger sent by Allah to convey the will of Allah. People who believe in God are called Muslims, which means believing in God and obeying the prophet.
Islam has strict canon, and the core of the doctrine is obedience to Allah and the Prophet. Therefore, at the beginning of missionary work, Muhammad's position was supreme, which is also a remarkable feature of Islam. Muhammad emphasized the absolute obedience of believers to teachings, mainly to unify people's beliefs and ideas and solve various contradictions in society in this way. Followers of Muhammad must obey and express themselves under any circumstances, because everything is arranged by God and they can't change it. Another notable feature of Islam is polygamy.
In Islamic teachings, the status of men and women is extremely unequal. Although Islam requires people to take a negative attitude when solving social contradictions. On the other hand, it also puts forward the basic principles of being a Christian, such as doing good, fair trade, helping the poor and caring for the elderly. In addition, Islamic teachings stipulate that criminal acts such as theft and fraud should be severely punished. These teachings are supported by the working Arab people at the lower level. Islamic teachings have long been regarded as laws in some countries that believe in Islam.
In the early days of establishing Islam, Muhammad did not get much response, but was opposed by some wealthy businessmen and slave owners in Mecca. Because Islam is a monotheistic religion, it is extremely incompatible with the traditional polytheism of Gulaisi tribe. At the same time, the idea of helping the poor put forward in the doctrine also harmed the economic interests of big noble and wealthy businessmen. Some nobles and wealthy businessmen are ready to murder him at any time. In this sinister situation, on the night of16,622, Muhammad led his followers to leave Mecca and move to Ya Tribbe. This is the "migration" of Islam, and this year is designated as the first year of the Islamic calendar.
Ya Tribbe was later changed to Medina, meaning the city of prophets. Ya Tribbe is different from Mecca. It is not the center of the aristocratic rule of the stubborn Gules tribe. Handicraft and commerce are also developed, and there are many poor people. Here, Islam was quickly accepted by people. On this basis, Muhammad promulgated the statutes of Islamic societies, established theocracy and established his own authority. Soon, the nobles of Mecca launched an attack on Ya Tribbe in an attempt to destroy Muhammad's power. Muhammad organized the followers of Atleb, established his own army, and fought many battles with the Mecca nobles, defeating the attack of the Mecca nobles' army.
In 628, Muhammad and the nobles of Mecca signed an armistice treaty, temporarily stopping the war between the two sides. In 630, Muhammad led an army to attack Mecca. Under the pressure of the army, the nobles in Mecca were forced to accept Islam and recognize the authority and supreme status of Muhammad. In order to ease the hostile contradictions at that time, Muhammad also acknowledged the special status and vested interests of the nobles in Mecca. Soon, Muhammad established a theocratic state in Mecca, with military, political and religious rights under his control. After Muhammad entered Mecca, he cleared away all the tribal gods in Kelber Temple, keeping only meteorites as sacred objects for all Muslims, changing Kelber Temple into a mosque, and stipulating that every Muslim must make a pilgrimage here once in his life. Seeing that Mecca is so powerful, some tribes in the Arabian Peninsula sent envoys to express their willingness to convert to Islam and recognize Muhammad's position as a religious leader.
In 632, Muhammad died in Tribbe. At this time, most parts of the peninsula have converted to Islam. Since then, Islam has spread to most parts of North Africa and Central Asia. By the16th century, Islamists had spread all over the world. The emergence of Islam has promoted the development of the Arab region and played a positive role in the unified development of the Arab region and resisting foreign aggression. However, the "jihad" doctrine of Islam makes it extremely aggressive in the process of missionary work. It was in the name of "jihad" that Islamists, under the banner of the new moon, waved Arab machetes and violently expanded and established a huge Arab empire.
