"Don't go out on the seventh day of the first month, don't go home on the eighth day, and fly home on the ninth day."
This is a folk custom around Jianhu, which means that married girls will return to their parents' homes in the first month. Generally speaking, it is not appropriate to go back to your parents' home on the seventh and eighth day, and you can only go back to your parents' home on the ninth and tenth day. Ten refers to the tenth day of the first month.
"Eight don't go out, eight don't go home" is actually an educational word left by our ancestors. "Seven don't go out" means not going out before going out, which is what most people call seven things to open the door: "firewood, rice, oil, salt, sauce, vinegar and tea".
"Eight don't go home" means not going home behind the door, which means "filial piety, filial piety, loyalty, faithfulness, courtesy, righteousness, honesty and shame". These are the eight basic moral principles of the ancients. If you violate any of them, you are sorry for your ancestors and have no face to face your family.
