About Chibi
Su Shi's Chibi Fu and Nian Nujiao were both written in Wen Chibi, which was not an ancient battlefield during the Three Kingdoms period
There is a theory of civil and military Chibi in Hubei. Wen Chibi is located in Huangzhou because Here Su Dongpo chanted his eternal masterpiece "Niannujiao." Chibi is famous for "Chibi Nostalgia"; Wu Chibi is located in Chibi City (formerly Puqi City) and is the site of the famous Chibi War during the Three Kingdoms period. Wen Chibi is located outside the Hanchuan Gate in the northwest of the ancient city of Huangzhou. Yuping Mountain, Longwang Mountain, and Jubao Mountain protect its northeast, and the Yangtze River surrounds its southwest. Because the famous writer Su Shi of the Northern Song Dynasty wrote the "Chibi Ode" here that has been passed down through the ages, it was named "Dongpo Chibi" or "Wen Chibi". Visitors are amazed by the scenic spots here, and their preciousness is the dazzling array of calligraphy, painting and inscriptions left by poets and poets from past dynasties. Su Dongpo's "Jingsu Garden Tie" inscription, with its characters like rivers flowing down, is a rare treasure among Su Shi's calligraphy works. It has been called "a national treasure" and is considered by calligraphy critics to be comparable to Wang Xizhi's "Lanting Preface" and "Lanting Preface". Yan Zhenqing's "Manuscript of Sacrifice to My Nephew" is comparable and is praised by the world as "the third running script in the world". Su Shi's cursive script "Niannujiao? Red Cliff Nostalgia" embedded in Poxian Pavilion has vigorous writing style, like a storm, flying and turning, It complements the bold style of its lyrics. There is also a stone carving of "Red Cliff Ode" written by Su Shi in the Stele Pavilion, which has been highly praised by calligraphy connoisseurs of the past dynasties. There are two paintings by Su Shi preserved here: one is "Yuemei" and the other is "Longevity Star", both of which are embedded in Poxian Pavilion. The picture of "Moon Plum" is composed of a half-scythe crescent moon and an old plum. The old plum has vigorous branches, graceful young branches, and the first leaves of the flower stamens, revealing a ray of new hope in the desolation. The picture of "Longevity Star" consists of the four characters "virtue, longevity, palace and treasure". It was painted in April of the second year of Shaosheng in the Northern Song Dynasty (1095). It is said to be the earliest character cartoon ever seen in our country. In addition to Su Shi's calligraphy and painting inscriptions at Red Cliff in Huangzhou, "Dongpo Old Plum" painted by Guo Fengyi during the Jiajing reign of the Ming Dynasty is also extremely precious.
Wu Chibi is located on the south bank of the Yangtze River 36 kilometers northwest of Chibi City, facing Wulin across the river. Land water flows into the Yangtze River from its east. Chibi is a famous ancient battlefield. In the 13th year of Jian'an in the Eastern Han Dynasty (208), Liu Bei and Sun Quan united to defeat Cao Cao here. This is the famous Battle of Chibi in history. The Chibi ruins are composed of three hills, namely Chibi Mountain, Nanping Mountain and Jinluan Mountain. These three hills are undulating and connected, as green as the sea, and with pavilions and pavilions scattered among them, the scenery becomes even more beautiful. Its main attractions include Red Cliff Cliff, Wind Worship Tower, Feng Chuan and Yijiang Pavilion. To the southwest of Chibi Mountain, facing the river, the rock slopes more than 300 meters, with jagged rocks. The raging river rushes straight towards the cliff, rolling up thousands of piles of snow, making a sound like huge thunder. Literati and poets have been coming here to pay their respects since ancient times, so many calligraphy works have been left behind. On the cliff of Chibijitou are engraved two large regular script characters "Red Cliff". Next to the two characters, there are stone carvings of portraits of Zhuge Liang, Liu Bei, Guan Yu and Zhang Fei. The wind-worshiping platform at the top of Nanping Mountain is said to be the site of the Qixingtai where Zhuge Liang worshiped the east wind. Fengchu Nunnery on the hillside of Jinluan Mountain, it is said that Pang Tong once lived in seclusion here. The original nunnery was abandoned long ago, and the current nunnery was rebuilt in the 26th year of Daoguang reign of the Qing Dynasty (1846). It has green bricks and black tiles, simple and elegant. The statue of Pang Tong enshrined in the main room of the nunnery is solemn and resolute, with an awe-inspiring and inviolable spirit. The nunnery is surrounded by green moss, with winding paths hiding secluded areas, ancient trees providing shade, and hundreds of birds flying. It really has the artistic conception of "the mountain is more secluded with the singing of birds". The Yijiang Pavilion on the top of Red Cliff is said to be the site where Zhuge Liang and Zhou Yu watched Cao Ying during the Battle of Red Cliff. The pavilion was built by later generations.
