What causes purpura?

Henoch-Schonlein purpura is actually an allergic reaction of the body to certain substances, causing the permeability and fragility of the capillary wall to increase, accompanied by small vessel vasculitis. It is an allergic reaction of blood vessels to external antigens. The cause of the disease may be multiple, or it may be the result of the simultaneous action of multiple factors.

It is generally believed that the cause of Henoch-Schonlein purpura may be related to bacterial and viral infections, such as upper respiratory tract inflammation, tonsillitis, pneumonia, scarlet fever, urinary tract infection and other acute infections, or tuberculosis, bronchiectasis, prostatitis , chronic infections such as osteomyelitis; or viral infections such as rubella, chickenpox, mumps, measles, and influenza. These may cause skin allergies and trigger allergic purpura. Not only that, parasitic infection is also one of the causes of the disease. Of course, eating some foods that are prone to allergies, such as fish, shrimp, milk, eggs, and common antibiotics, antipyretic analgesics, sedatives, anti-tuberculosis drugs, etc., may also lead to the occurrence of allergic purpura.

In addition, cold, trauma, drug powder, insect bites, tuberculin test, menopause, and even mental reasons, etc., may be the triggers of the disease
