Where can I apply for a private jet driver's license? What academic qualifications are required?

1. Process:

For ordinary Chinese citizens to study and obtain a "private license", they mainly go through the following stages:

(1) Physical examination. The minimum physical standard for "privately licensed" students is to meet Category II standards and obtain a Category II physical examination certificate issued by the civil aviation aviation health authority.

(2) Go to the civil aviation authority to apply for a student pilot license.

(3) Learn flight theory and flight operation techniques.

(4) Pass the "Private Pilot License" theory test and flight skills practical test, with a full theoretical score of 100 points and a passing score of 80 points. The practical examination consists of two parts: an oral examination to assess aviation knowledge and a practical examination to demonstrate flying skills or proficiency. If you pass the above exams and your flight experience meets the requirements of relevant regulations, the last step is to apply for a "Private Pilot License" from the Civil Aviation Administration of China.

(6). Have junior high school education or above.

Extended information

Test content:

The private pilot license test is divided into two parts: a theoretical test and a flight test. The content of the theoretical examination involves meteorology, aerodynamics, flight principles, aviation medicine, etc.

(1) China’s civil aviation regulations related to the rights, restrictions and flight operations of private pilots.

(2) Use of navigation information compilation, NOTAMs and advisory materials.

(3) Pre-flight preparations and procedures, including how to obtain the length of the airport runway used, takeoff and landing data, weather reports and forecasts, fuel requirements and other information, and how to make an alternate landing plan.

(4) Meteorology, including identifying critical weather conditions, avoiding wind shear, procedures for obtaining meteorological data, and the use of aviation weather reports and forecasts.

(5). Basics of aerodynamics and flight principles, basic working principles of aircraft power devices and various systems.

(6) Pilotage, including the use of aeronautical charts and magnetic compasses, landmarks and presumed pilotage, and visual flight rules. (VFR) flight, use of navigation facilities and operation of airborne pilotage equipment.

(7) Safe and effective operation of corresponding aircraft, including flight at high-density airports, collision avoidance, wake turbulence avoidance and radio communication procedures, night and high-altitude operations.

(8), Weight and balance, including calculation of weight and balance and their impact on flight characteristics.

(9) Flight performance, including the use of performance charts and the consequences of exceeding performance limits.

(10), aviation decision-making and judgment.
