1, Phyllostachys pubescens in Jiangnan

Sizhu is a kind of traditional national instrumental music in China, which is popular in southern Jiangsu and Zhejiang. After the Revolution of 1911, it made great progress in Shanghai, and successively established Tian Jun Collection, Qingping Collection, Yage Collection, National Music Research Association and other institutions. On May 20th, 2006, the Jiangnan Silk and Bamboo jointly declared by Taicang City, Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province and Shanghai City was approved by the State Council to be included in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage list.

2. gongs and drums

"Taibao Book", formerly known as "Taibao Book", originated from "Taibao", a peaceful activity in rural areas of Shanghai suburbs, and is one of the folk arts circulating in Shanghai. Because the actors beat gongs and drums to sing stories during their performances, they are also called "Tang Gong Shu" and "Shen Gu Shu" by the people. After the founding of New China, it was called "gongs and drums". Gong and drum calligraphy has a very broad mass base and can be called an outstanding representative of Quyi. It is a household name in the local area and has a wide influence. On May 20th, 2006, Quyi was approved by the State Council to be included in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage list.

It is a unique traditional folk music formed by Shanghai Sijing percussion artists on the basis of absorbing the artistic characteristics of Kunqu opera and constantly polishing it in the long-term performance process. It has a history of nearly 300 years. In June 2008, it became the second batch of national intangible cultural heritage protection projects in the State Council.

4. Shanghai Taoist music

It is a kind of music with diverse music components, unique music style and strong Taoist color in Jiangnan area. With the numerous Taoist fasting ceremonies in Shanghai, they are used flexibly and skillfully on various occasions, and sometimes the drums are deafening and magnificent to show that the gods are sent to exorcise evil spirits; Sometimes the silk and bamboo play elegantly, and the lingering sound makes people feel peaceful, such as entering the ethereal realm.

5. Shanghai Longhua Temple Fair

6. Jiading bamboo carving

The ancient town of Xu Hang is a famous hometown of straw weaving in the south of the Yangtze River. Yellow grass weaving is a traditional handicraft of Xu Hang in Jiading. Working people in Jiading District, Shanghai weave exquisite daily necessities with yellow stalks and decorate them with colorful patterns, which are fine, beautiful, light and convenient and become famous products. Its yellow grass weaving has a long history and enjoys a good reputation at home and abroad. In 2008, it was selected into the second batch of national intangible cultural heritage list.

8. Wu Nijing's Handmade Cotton Textile Skills

Wu Nijing's handmade cotton textile skill is a local traditional handicraft skill in Xuhui District, Shanghai, and it is one of the national intangible cultural heritages. Wunijing handmade cotton textile technology has a very long history in China. Cotton and linen textiles first appeared in the Neolithic Age, and the hand-made cotton textile technology was significantly improved in the Tang Dynasty and reached its peak in the Qing Dynasty. On May 20th, 2006, Wunijing's handmade cotton textile skill was approved by the State Council to be included in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage list.
