the third day

Wake up in the morning, wash and eat, and pack your equipment. Yang San and I both carried big backpacks by mules, only carrying a 25L overhead bag to go into battle lightly and go to the base camp. Along the "Ma Dao" all the way up, through various plant belts, the scenery is beautiful, but the "Ma Dao" is really muddy, which increases the difficulty of walking. The spirit must be highly concentrated and always pay attention to the foothold. If you are not careful, you will slip and get muddy.

Halfway through, I arrived at the rest hut, had a rest and replenished food and water. Before long, an uncle came up from behind, took two horses, rested in the hut and talked to him. It turned out that he had an appointment with someone to meet a team that climbed the mountain yesterday. Uncle is very hospitable and gives us butter tea to drink. The taste is very mellow, and I feel full of energy after drinking it. Because uncle was waiting for someone in the cabin, he stopped going up, waved goodbye and continued to go up. Not far away, I heard someone shouting behind me. It turns out that my snow goggles was left in the cabin, and my uncle gave it to me. Climbing the snow-capped mountains without wearing snow goggles is a big trouble, which makes snow blindness very dangerous. Thank my uncle!

The road behind me is getting steeper and flatter, but I am in good health. Yang San and I walked and talked, and it was fairly easy to walk. I met the retreating teams one after another and asked about the climate on the mountain. It looks good, but some are cheerful and some are silent. It should be that some have successfully climbed to the top, and some have not finished! Go on, and finally reach the base camp of Haba Snow Mountain (4 100 meters above sea level), which is also the camp tonight. The fourth day

After rest, put on crampons and walk in groups with a flat belt connected with Yang San. Ahead is the legendary deadly slope. As the name implies, it is a very deadly slope (with a slope of 50 degrees), and it is also the difficulty of Haba Snow Mountain. Many people stop here. At first, I followed the rhythm of taking 60 steps and taking a break. I felt that the efficiency was not very high, so I adopted a step-by-step climbing gait, which improved the efficiency a lot.

Climbing the slope of despair, we arrived at the Moon Bay, and it was already dawn. Moon Bay is a cliff that must pass before reaching the peak. It has a beautiful arc and looks like a crescent moon, hence its name. However, although the scenery here is good, there are hidden dangers, strong crosswind, strong exposure and ice cracks, so you must travel carefully.

After Moon Bay is Hero Slope, which is basically the peak. The elevation card of 5396 meters is just around the corner. At 9: 001,I finally stood at the top of the mountain, but my mood was very calm, as if all my troubles were emptied instantly.
