Factors affecting water and heat transfer
Damp heat is introduced as follows:
Damp-heat, in TCM terms, is a pathogenic factor, belonging to two of the six evils: wind, cold, summer heat, dampness, dryness and fire (heat). It is also the name of TCM syndromes, such as damp-heat syndrome, which refers to the pathological changes of systemic damp-heat symptoms caused by damp-heat accumulation in the body and obstruction of the operation of zang-fu organs and meridians.
The so-called wet is the so-called water wet, which can be divided into external wet and internal wet. External dampness belongs to external evil, which is called dampness evil. Mostly due to the humid climate, wading in the rain or wet indoors, and external moisture invading the human body. Its pathogenicity is characterized by heavy turbidity, viscosity and downward trend. Internal dampness is a pathological product, which is related to the dysfunction of viscera.
The etiology of damp heat is introduced as follows:
Mainly feel the evil of damp heat. China is located in the northern hemisphere, at the turn of summer and autumn, the summer heat is not over, the water is wet, and the damp heat is the most abundant, which infringes on the human body and breaks down from overwork. In the southeast coastal areas, the humidity is heavy all year round, especially from March to May every year, commonly known as "rainy days". The weather is getting hotter and the summer heat is getting stronger, which is more likely to cause damp heat.
Other evils besides six evils, such as exogenous wind-heat and spleen deficiency, combine exogenous wind-heat with endogenous dampness to form damp heat. As Xue said: "The sun is injured internally, and the wet drink does not gather, and the external evil causes it again, so it is damp and hot." At the same time, exogenous pathogenic factors invade the lungs, chest tightness and cough, and abnormal qi movement can also hurt the spleen and stomach, making dampness endogenous, depressed and hot, forming damp heat.
The clinical manifestations of damp-heat are as follows:
Dampness and heat are generally manifested as: heavy head and drowsiness, obvious fever in the afternoon, low body heat (that is, the skin is not very hot at first, and it will burn your hands after a while), and sweating will not be alleviated; The tongue coating is yellow and greasy, and the pulse is rapid. The specific manifestations vary according to different parts of damp and heat: eczema or skin sores; There is local swelling and pain in joints and tendons.
However, damp-heat usually refers to damp-heat entering the viscera, especially spleen-stomach damp-heat, which can be seen as abdominal distension, nausea and anorexia, thin stool, short and red urine and rapid pulse; Others, such as damp-heat in the liver and gallbladder, are manifested as swelling pain in the liver area, bitter taste in the mouth, yellow body and eyes, or alternating fever and chills, and rapid pulse; Damp-heat in bladder is characterized by frequent urination, urgency, less astringency and pain, and yellow and turbid color.
