The car glass needs defogging. What are the methods?
The first method-use special defogging products.
In many markets and auto parts cities, there will be some stalls selling special products for defogging and anti-fogging, such as defogging agents or fog towels. Spray this defogging agent on the inner surface of automobile glass and wipe it clean. While removing the glass dirt, it can also form a thin transparent protective film on the glass, which can prevent the fog layer formed by the condensation of water vapor on the glass for about ten days to half a month at a time. Of course, for such a simple problem as fog, it is not the most cost-effective way to save money and trouble.
The second method-windowing convection
If the fog is not big, we can open a gap in the windows on both sides (it can't be done when it rains) to let the air inside the car convection, and the temperature inside the car will gradually approach the temperature outside the car, and the fog will disperse. The advantage is that the air conditioner can be turned on without increasing fuel consumption, but this method can not be used in all situations, such as cold winter and rainy days. This is a good method when it doesn't rain and the temperature is acceptable. The disadvantage is that it is not suitable for high-speed running.
The third method-using air conditioning system.
We will encounter fog on the windshield in winter and rainy days. I believe many friends have used air conditioning system to remove fog. Actually, there are some skills here. I believe many friends have doubts and disputes about using cold air or warm air to remove fog. In fact, this problem is two-sided, and it will be discussed according to different situations.
The usual practice is to turn on the fan and refrigeration switch in the car and let the cold wind blow on the glass, and the fog will soon disperse, with quick and direct effect. This is because cold air blows on the glass, forming a "cold film" on the surface of the glass, preventing carbon dioxide from condensing on the glass and playing the role of defogging. One of the biggest drawbacks of this method is that people in the car may feel very cold. Imagine that it is really hard to blow air conditioning in the car in rainy days and winter, which are prone to fog! Blowing for a few minutes may turn off the air conditioner, and soon the fog will start to hang on the glass and turn on the air conditioner again ... This is inconvenient for repeated operation and the temperature inside the car will be very inappropriate. Lowering the head will have certain hidden dangers to safety. Of course, you can also use this method if you are strong or have just finished strenuous exercise.
So can hot air be used to defog? The answer is absolutely yes! Turn on the hot air, it will not increase the extra energy consumption, but also drive comfortably, killing two birds with one stone!
However, one thing to remind everyone is that when the hot air is turned on when the glass is foggy when driving, the fog on the glass will become more and more serious, especially in rainy days, when the moisture in the air is large, the front windshield suddenly becomes frosted glass, which is very dangerous! Therefore, the editor suggested that it is best not to try to blow the glass with hot air when driving. It is best to blow the glass with hot air before driving until it is dry.
In fact, the effect of hot air blowing glass is better than that of cold air, but the process is much slower than air conditioning. When you first open it, it will really make the fog inside the glass bigger, because the temperature difference between inside and outside is bigger. After hot air dries the moisture in the car, the glass will become translucent, which takes only a few minutes. The operation process is to park the car on the side of the road, turn on the hot air, adjust the temperature to above 25 degrees, wait until the fog in the glass is completely dry, and then lower the temperature, so that there will be no fog again during driving, because the car is dry. Tip: Just make sure the hot air doesn't fog. Not too hot. It's easy to catch a cold when you get off the bus.
Tip:
In addition to the front windshield, the side window will also fog, and the fog in the front window will affect the driver's observation of the rearview mirror. Nowadays, cars have separate air outlets for blowing front side windows, but they are generally small. If the effect is not obvious, we can close the two central air outlets and let the air outlets on both sides get more air. (The air conditioners of some high-end cars are independently controlled and may not be applicable. )
Summary of air conditioning defogging methods
Methods Cold air blowing and hot air blowing were used.
Advantages: quick effect and thorough effect.
Disadvantages: people in the car will feel cold and the process will be slow.
Applicable conditions: not too cold weather/rainy day emergency, winter
Summary: The air conditioner demists quickly, but it will be cold inside the car. The effect of hot air is a little slow. If hot air defogging is carried out before driving, it will be very refreshing and warm all the way.
The fourth method-detergent antifogging
If you still think the above methods are difficult to remember and complicated to operate, we might as well prepare our own "anti-fogging agent" to prevent fogging. There have been many introductions on the Internet and tips programs, and the simplest one is blending with detergent. The ratio of detergent to water is about 1: 10, then dip it in absorbent cotton or clean and soft cloth and apply it on the inside of the front and rear windshields.
After drying, wipe off the residual watermark left on the inside of the glass with suede. This is a good method, the principle is basically the same as spraying special antifogging agent (the effect may be slightly worse), but it can be maintained for a period of time without spending money and turning on the air conditioner, which is a simple and economical method.
Defrost the rear windshield-just heat it.
At present, all cars on the market basically have the function of "rear windshield heating", and the position of the switch button of each model is not the same. Look at the instructions and you will find it. Turn on the "rear windshield heating" switch, and the fog in the rear window will dissipate in less than one minute. Attention should be paid here, and the line of sight in the rear is also very important!
