Minqin county has a vast territory and belongs to Wuwei basin in the north, Changning basin in the east, Minqin basin and Chaoshuidong basin. Gobi is located in the foothills of Beishan Mountain, which is part of the land denuded into residual hills by denudation slope. Desert is the eastern part of the vast Badain Jaran Desert and Tengger Desert, widely distributed outside the oasis, with a total area of 8 148+04 km2.
