The weather in northern Xinjiang

Xinjiang belongs to temperate continental climate, characterized by large temperature difference between day and night, and is a typical continental arid climate. Southern Xinjiang is dry, with long sunshine and little rain. The annual precipitation is only 20- 100 mm, while northern Xinjiang100-500 mm. The annual average temperature is 10C- 13C in southern Xinjiang plain, and lower than 10C in northern Xinjiang plain. The extreme maximum temperature in Turpan reaches 48.9℃, and the extreme minimum temperature in Fuyun County reaches -5 1.5℃ ... The frost-free period in southern Xinjiang plain is 200-220 days, and that in northern Xinjiang plain is mostly less than 150 days. Several characteristics of Xinjiang climate: 1. Dry. Leng Xia is very hot in winter. 3. The daily temperature difference is large. 4. Various climate types in Xinjiang are rich in sunshine and full of "magic" feeling. Xinjiang is located in the center of the mainland, far from the ocean, surrounded by mountains and plateaus. It belongs to temperate extreme continental climate, with long and cold winters, hot and dry summers and short and drastic changes in spring and autumn. However, the north-south latitude of Xinjiang is about 15 degrees, and the terrain is quite different. There are warm, cold and temperate zones in the south and north of Xinjiang, and the difference between east and west is obvious. The same area has obvious vertical climate characteristics due to the difference of topography, which leads to the difference of natural landscape in Xinjiang. Under the influence of the arid climate, Xinjiang has become one of the driest, hottest and coldest places in China, with the largest sandstorm and the largest temperature difference, such as the hottest in Turpan, the arid, rich and cold Tarim Basin in eastern Xinjiang and southern Xinjiang, and Afghanistan.
