In order to cope with heavy air pollution and protect public health, the municipal government decided to take traffic restriction management measures for motor vehicles (including vehicles with temporary license plates) driving on roads within the administrative area of this Municipality according to the relevant provisions of the Emergency Plan for Heavy Pollution Weather in Taiyuan City. The relevant matters are hereby notified as follows:

1. Time limit: 0: 00 on February 16 and 24: 00 on February 17;

2. Restricted areas: East Ring Section of Ring Expressway, west of Yu Tai Road (Wusu Expressway to Jinzhong Section), south of North Ring Section of Ring Expressway, west ring section of Ring Expressway, east of Yin Qing Expressway (Luocheng to Qingxu Section of Taiyuan City), Niu Niu Line and road range north of Yugu Road (excluding the above roads).

Three. Restriction measures: One-day and two-day driving management measures shall be implemented for all motor vehicles entering roads in restricted areas.

Specifically:

Number plates with odd numbers (1, 3, 5, 7, 9) will pass in one day;

Even number plates (2, 4, 6, 8, 0) will pass in two days (if the number plate has English letters, the last one shall prevail);

For trucks driving on roads in restricted areas, traffic and even and odd numbers are restricted.

4. The following motor vehicles are not restricted: buses, taxis, long-distance buses (including tourist buses), school buses and commuter buses approved by the public security traffic control department; Police cars, law enforcement vehicles, fire engines, ambulances and wreckers performing tasks; Special working vehicles for sanitation, gardening and road maintenance, special vehicles for funeral and burial, and pure electric vehicles (driven by electric motors with rechargeable batteries as the only power source).

Five, during the period of taking traffic restriction management measures, in addition to the implementation of the provisions of this notice, other traffic management measures in this Municipality are still valid. The public security traffic management department will deal with motor vehicles that violate the regulations according to law.
