Is the gas tank afraid of sun exposure?

Gas tanks are afraid of the sun.

It is unsafe to expose the gas tank to the sun. Liquefied gas cylinders have a safe temperature line, that is, the surface temperature cannot exceed 50℃. If the cylinder is exposed to sunlight, it is easy to make the surface temperature of the cylinder exceed the safety line. Once the temperature is too high, the pressure in the cylinder will rise, and it will be dangerous to reach a certain pressure.

Especially when the cylinder is just filled with gas, it can't be directly exposed to the sun, because the pressure of the full bottle is the greatest. At this time, the exposure pressure rises again, and there is no place to release the pressure, which has great security risks. Liquefied gas cylinders shall not be stored in bedrooms and public places to prevent exposure to high temperature and scorching sun, and the environment shall not exceed 35℃.

Maintenance method of gas holder

1, whether it is gas bottle or pipeline gas, the hose connecting the cooker and gas bottle must be replaced once every two years.

2. Foam with detergent, washing powder and soap, smear it on the gas hose, and open the gas valve. If bubbles come out, it means that the gas pipe has burst and should be replaced in time. Because there is a lot of oil smoke in the kitchen, the gas hose may be bitten by rats and cockroaches. Therefore, when you smell the smell of gas leakage, you must pay enough attention to it and check the gas bottle hose and connector in time.

3. Gas cylinders must be tested once every four years. If they pass the test, they can keep using it. If they fail, they will be scrapped on the spot. The cylinders that pass the test will be stamped with qualified steel seals. 15 years is the mandatory scrapping period of gas cylinders. No matter what kind of gas cylinders, they must be scrapped after fifteen years and must not be used over age.
