News 30 Minutes is a midday news program launched by CCTV Comprehensive Channel on April 3rd, 1995. The program was hosted by Chang Xiao, Cui Zhigang, He Hongmei, Li Wenjing and He Jia.

The program focuses on important news, topic news, culture and sports news at home and abroad, supplemented by noon weather forecast.

The program premiered on CCTV Comprehensive Channel every day 1995 from April 3rd. On May 1 day, 2003, due to the trial broadcast of CCTV news channel, the program was broadcast simultaneously on CCTV comprehensive channel and news channel, and also on some local stations.

Program background

1995 On April 3rd, in order to solve the contradiction between editing and broadcasting, CCTV set the program "News 30 Minutes" to broadcast at noon as a reform measure.

Note: 12:00- 12:30 is broadcast live on CCTV- 1 and CCTV- 13 every day (in special cases, it is only broadcast on CCTV- 1, which may be delayed or at1.

"News 30 Minutes" is the only program in the name of CCTV news program that contains duration. But the news content never lasts more than 30 minutes except in special circumstances, because advertisements are inserted every time. During the National Day of Mourning, all channels except Chinese International Channel and other foreign language international channels were broadcast live on the same plane.
