Ke Lan, formerly known as Tang Yizheng, is an old writer from the Yan'an period in my country, an honorary member of the Chinese Writers Association, the president of the Chinese Prose Poetry Society, a popular disseminator of prose poetry, and the founder of contemporary prose poetry.

In the 1950s and 1960s, Zhou Libo, Kang Zhuo, Ke Lan and Jiang Muliang were collectively known as the four literary giants in Hunan Province. His literary attainments, his novel "The Story of the Foreign Iron Bucket" was published in the eleven liberated areas It was printed in nine editions and was recommended by Chairman Mao. It was brought to the rear by the Military Adjustment Department and published in Hong Kong. It became popular in Southeast Asia and was translated by Japan and the Soviet Union.

His work, "Youth Travel Team" was selected into the second volume textbook for fifth graders published by Beijing Normal University and the first volume textbook for sixth graders published by Hubei Education Press. "Flying Red and Dropping Green Notes on Huangshan Mountain" was selected into the first volume of the ninth-grade Chinese textbook published by the Jiangsu Education Press.
