A summary of the application of numerical weather forecast

In 1980s, more than 30 countries and regions around the world used numerical weather forecast as the main method for daily forecast. As far as the forecast items are concerned, it already includes air pressure, temperature, humidity, wind, clouds and precipitation; As far as the scope is concerned, it has developed from the limited troposphere to the hemispheric and global scope including the stratosphere; As far as timeliness is concerned, except for the short-term forecast of 1 ~ 2 days, some countries have carried out the medium-term forecast for about a week.
