Also known as Indo-Pacific camel dolphin, fishermen in southern China are commonly known as "baiji dolphin". Latin scientific name Sousa chinesis Dsbeck, English name Indo- pacific humpback dolphin. It belongs to the dolphin family.

Chinese white dolphin is named after its milky white body. The abdomen and tail are pink. There are many irregular gray-black spots scattered on the back, side, dorsal fin, dorsal fin and caudal fin. The back of the body is gray, and the color of the abdomen is talked about by everyone.

Often rest and gather near the beach in the estuary, and prey on fish along the rocky sea. Group of three to seven people. Fish is the main food. Sometimes, in order to fish, they leave the ocean and go upstream for dozens of kilometers.

In China, it is mainly distributed in the southeast coast, Xiamen, Fujian, the Pearl River Estuary in Guangdong and the waters near Hong Kong. It is a rare marine animal and is listed in Appendix I of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora. The Chinese white dolphin is also the mascot symbol of Hong Kong's return to the motherland. Xiamen, Fujian has established a national Chinese White Dolphin Reserve, the Pearl River Estuary in Guangdong has established a provincial Chinese White Dolphin Reserve, and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government has also established a Chinese White Dolphin Reserve in Hong Kong waters.
