2. Tangshan was named after Emperor Taizong's eastward expedition to Koguryo, Li Shimin, and is known as the "northern porcelain capital". The first mechanized coal mine, the first standard gauge railway, the first steam locomotive and the first barrel of machine-made cement in China were born here. Tangshan is the birthplace of China Pingju, known as "Three Flowers in East Hebei", with shadow play, Pingju and Laoting drums, which is a national intangible cultural heritage.

4. Tangshan iron mine is rich in resources, with 6.2 billion tons, second only to Anshan and surpassing Panzhihua. It is one of the three major iron ore concentration areas in China, and is rich in gold resources, mainly distributed in Zunhua and Qianxi counties.
