Several districts in Tangshan city

1. By 2020, Tangshan will have seven municipal districts, namely lunan district, lubei district, guye district, Kaiping, Fengnan, Fengrun and caofeidian area. Tangshan, referred to as "Tang" for short, is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Hebei Province, with a total area of 13472 square kilometers. It is located in the east of Hebei Province, northeast of North China Plain, bordering Bohai Sea in the south, Yanshan Mountain in the north, and adjacent to Beijing and Tianjin.

2. Tangshan was named after Emperor Taizong's eastward expedition to Koguryo, Li Shimin, and is known as the "northern porcelain capital". The first mechanized coal mine, the first standard gauge railway, the first steam locomotive and the first barrel of machine-made cement in China were born here. Tangshan is the birthplace of China Pingju, known as "Three Flowers in East Hebei", with shadow play, Pingju and Laoting drums, which is a national intangible cultural heritage.

3. The climate of Tangshan belongs to warm temperate zone and semi-humid continental monsoon climate. It is windy and rainy in spring, with large evaporation, dry air and drought. The temperature rises rapidly, and you can usually smell thunder in late March. Summer is hot and humid, with concentrated rain, and there are many disastrous weather such as rainstorm, hail, thunderstorm and strong wind. It is sunny in autumn, the temperature changes greatly, the temperature drops quickly, the wind speed is low and the air is fresh. In winter, the weather is cold and dry, the precipitation is scarce, and the wind blows from west to northwest.

4. Tangshan iron mine is rich in resources, with 6.2 billion tons, second only to Anshan and surpassing Panzhihua. It is one of the three major iron ore concentration areas in China, and is rich in gold resources, mainly distributed in Zunhua and Qianxi counties.
