Making the bed can make the whole bedroom look neater, and sleeping in a tidy bed will make you sleepy. Making the bed sounds simple, but it really needs a little skill to be neat and correct. So, from the following step 1, learn how to make the bed perfectly.

Part 1: making the bed

1, make the bed. Whether you make the bed after getting up in the morning or after washing the sheets, the first thing to do is to make the bed. Take away the quilt or blanket, the sheets and pillows on it and put them aside (preferably not on the floor).

You can leave the bedspread (with elastic angle) on the bed.

2. Set the bedspread. If there is no bedspread on the bed, you need to put a bedspread first. Wrap the elastic angle around the corner of the bed and press it under the mattress. Make sure everything is under the mattress-you may need to lift the mattress slightly to finish.

Wipe the bedspread on the bed flat, without any wrinkles and wrinkles.

3. Spread out the sheets. Next, pick up the wake-up sheet, shake it off and spread it on the bedspread. Remember, the big side of the sheet should be placed on the bedside, and the edge should be aligned with the bedspread. If your sheets are patterned, put the patterned side down (so that you can see the pattern when you stack the bed at the bedside).

Make sure the sheets are placed neatly, and hang sheets of the same length on both sides of the bed.

4. Folding method of hospital sheets. "hospital bed sheet corner" refers to a special method of folding the four corners of a bed sheet tightly under the bed. This is the most complicated way to make a bed, but it is also the neatest way to make a bed. In order to fold the corners of hospital sheets, the corners of the sheets should be folded and pressed between the mattress and the bed board. Don't knead it into a ball and stuff it directly. Make sure the sheets are smooth and wrinkle-free.

On one side, lift it about 15 cm from the head of the bed sheet and fold it on the bed, which will make a 45-degree angle with the mattress.

Keep the folded sheets on the bed still and stuff all the hanging sheets under the mattress. Tuck it in as neatly as possible in order to achieve the best-looking effect in the end.

Now let the folded sheets hang down. If you like loose sheets, you can do it here. However, if you want to spread the sheets more tightly, you can put the hanging sheets under the mattress, and so can the other end of the bed.

Make the other side of the bed in the same way. If you want to see more steps and more pictures of the hospital list method, you can refer to how to fold the hospital single corner.

5. Put a quilt or blanket on it. When the sheets are laid flat, blankets, duvets or quilts can be laid on them. Make sure that the quilt lies flat on the bed, with the same length hanging from each side of the bed.

The top of the quilt (duvet, blanket) should be about 6 cm away from the bed.

6. Fold the sheets and blankets. Pick up the edge of the bed sheet at the head, fold it back smoothly and cover it on the head of a blanket, quilt or duvet. See if you can see the pattern on the back of the paper now. If you use blankets or thin quilts, you can stack them together so that you can't see the edges of the sheets. Duvets are usually too thick to fold.

If you like, you can put the edge of the folded blanket or sheet under the mattress, which looks cleaner and more compact. This is what soldiers do in the army!

7. Shake the pillow. Pick up pillows and give them a good shake before putting them on the bed. When shaking the pillow, grab the sides of the pillow, squeeze it in the middle and then release it, which is a bit like playing an accordion! Smooth the pillowcase, put each pillow neatly on the bedside, and fill the space between the folded sheets and the bedside.

If you have more than two pillows (on a double bed), stack the other pillows directly on the pillow below.

8. Finalize. Now your bed is made! Finally, you can put some decorative things or pillows vertically on the bedside, which can be supported by sleeping pillows.

If you have extra blankets and quilts, or want to put an extra blanket on the bed for aesthetic reasons (or to prevent the weather from getting cold), fold it in half and lay it flat at the end of the bed.

Part II: Develop Good Habits

Make the bed every morning. Making the bed every morning is a simple and beneficial habit. Spend two minutes making your bed every morning, and your bedroom will look cleaner and quieter. Imagine how wonderful it would be to sneak into a neat and clean bed every night!

You may find it hard to believe that making your bed every day can improve your happiness!

2. Wash the sheets every 1 to 2 weeks. People are usually not sure how often to wash sheets. The answer is every 1 to 2 weeks. Although it is recommended to wash once every 1 to 2 weeks, it can be used continuously until 1 month.

Blankets, duvets, quilts or other things that are not in direct contact with the body can be washed once every three months.

3. Learn the simplest quilt cover method. Anyone who has used a quilt knows that covering it is a very painful thing. However, there is a simple trick to make this process easier: turn your quilt cover upside down, put your hand in, and grab a corner with each hand (just like wearing a vest). Now, hold the corner of the duvet tightly by the quilt cover (one in each hand).

Hold the quilt tightly and shake it until it turns to the front. Then put the rest of the quilt in, adjust it and close the opening of the quilt cover.

Besides, the best advice is to be patient and find a family member or friend to help you set it up!

Step 4 use a mattress. If you don't have a mattress now, you'd better buy one. As long as it is the right size for your bed. The mattress is placed on top of the mattress and under the sheets. It can protect the mattress from being dirty and make your bed more comfortable.

Tip: Keep your bed and sheets clean, tasteless and comfortable.

No matter how you feel when you get up in the morning, make the bed every day, or turn the corner of the bed to expose them to fresh air. It is good to do more work when you get up early. It can help you get up quickly.

If you sleep in a double bed, put the pillow at the corner of the bed to make the room look brighter.

Finally, you can also put the pillow directly on the bed!

Make sure that each side is flat.

Wash sheets, quilts and pillowcases every Sunday. Will make your bed fresher, neater and more suitable for sleeping.

Warning: If it is summer, don't put too many blankets on the bed. This will make you feel very hot at night and sweat easily.

If you know how to knit or sew and like to do manual work, making a blanket or something by yourself can really add color to your bed.
