Speed limit standard for high-speed rain and snow weather

The speed limit standards for high-speed rain and snow weather are as follows:

1. Speed limit in rainy days: In case of moderate rain, heavy rain, rainstorm, fog and other weather, it is generally necessary to slow down. According to the Road Traffic Safety Law of the People's Republic of China, when the road is wet, the speed shall not exceed 80% of the speed specified in the speed limit sign, and the maximum speed shall not exceed120km/h;

2. Speed limit in snowy days: In case of light snow, medium snow, heavy snow and other weather when driving on the expressway, vehicles need to slow down, especially when the road is frozen, special attention should be paid to driving safety. Under normal circumstances, the speed limit standard of expressway in snowy days is 80 km/h.

Pay attention to the following requirements when driving on the expressway in rainy and snowy weather:

1. Reduce the speed: the road surface is slippery in rainy and snowy weather, and the braking distance of the vehicle increases. Drivers need to reduce the speed appropriately to ensure driving safety. According to the actual situation, adjust the speed, generally not exceeding 80% of the speed specified in the speed limit sign;

2. Keep the distance between vehicles: in rainy and snowy weather, the braking distance of vehicles increases, so drivers need to keep a safe distance to avoid passing close to the preceding vehicle, so as to have enough time and distance to brake and avoid;

3. Turn on the wiper: When driving in rainy days, turn on the wiper in time to keep the window clear, so as to observe the road conditions and avoid accidents;

4. Turn on the lights: In rainy and snowy weather, visibility is low, so drivers need to turn on the lights to improve their visibility, and at the same time, they can also improve the attention of other vehicles and pedestrians and reduce accidents;

5. Avoid sudden braking and sudden steering: in rainy and snowy weather, the road surface is slippery and easy to slip. Drivers need to avoid dangerous operations such as sudden braking and sudden steering to avoid traffic accidents;

6. Check the vehicle: Before driving in rainy and snowy weather, the driver needs to check the wiper, wiper, rainwater diversion ditch, tires and braking system of the vehicle to ensure that the vehicle is in good condition and can drive safely.

To sum up, it is necessary to pay attention to safety when driving on expressways in rainy and snowy weather. Drivers need to strictly abide by traffic rules, slow down, keep a safe distance, turn on the lights, avoid dangerous operations such as sudden braking and sharp turning, and ensure the safety of themselves and others.
