Influenced by the northeast cold vortex, there is windy weather along the Yangtze River and northern Jiangsu, accompanied by strong convective weather such as hail. Zhou Yuehua, an expert from the Climate Center of Hubei Meteorological Bureau, explained related issues. Zhou Yuehua told reporters that the northeast cold vortex is generally active in the northeast of China from May to June, and the gas layer controlled by it is cold above and warm below, which may cause instability of the gas layer and produce strong convective weather.
