What has the World Meteorological Organization mainly done?

In order to improve the global ability to resist disasters and reduce the harm of extreme weather and climate events, the World Meteorological Organization has done a lot of fruitful work in monitoring, forecasting and establishing smooth meteorological information channels. In addition, the World Meteorological Organization organizes and coordinates international meteorological and hydrological cooperation by formulating world climate program, scientific research and development plans, hydrological and water resources plans, meteorological application plans, tropical cyclone plans, education and training plans, technical cooperation plans, long-term plans and participation in the International Decade for Disaster Reduction. To provide timely weather and climate disaster forecasting and early warning services for the governments and the public of member countries and make outstanding contributions to the protection of human life and property safety and sustainable development.
