When sunlight passes through the water droplets in the cloud, it is an arc-shaped band formed by refraction and reflection, that is, a rainbow. The bigger the water drop, the brighter the color. Because rainbows all appear in the opposite direction of the sun, when rainbows appear in the west, it means that there are a lot of water droplets in the western atmosphere, and it will rain locally as the weather system moves from west to east; The rainbow is in the east, indicating that there are a lot of water droplets in the atmosphere in the east. As the weather system has moved eastward, it will not rain locally in the future.

The weather will change, because cirrus or cirrostratus is the precursor of low pressure system. Two ears indicate large-scale instability in the upper atmosphere, while one ear indicates local instability. When binaural phenomenon occurs, the possibility of weather change is greater than that of monaural phenomenon.
