Why is the smoke tail serious in autumn?

There are several reasons for the serious smoke tail phenomenon in autumn:

1. Weather conditions: In autumn, there are generally relatively weak wind speed and static weather conditions, which will make it difficult for the air to flow, make the smoke stay in the air for a long time, and form an obvious tailing phenomenon.

2. Atmospheric inversion layer: The common atmospheric inversion layer phenomenon in autumn will also aggravate the smoke tailing. Inversion layer refers to a special meteorological phenomenon that the temperature in the atmosphere increases with the height, which hinders the air from rising and the diffusion of environmental pollutants, leading to the accumulation of smoke below inversion layer and the formation of tailing phenomenon.

3. Biomass burning: Autumn is the season of crop harvesting and agricultural waste burning. A large number of biomass combustion will produce a lot of smoke and particles, and these particles are often easy to form tails.

4. Industrial emissions: Some industrial factories will also increase their production activities in autumn, resulting in an increase in flue gas emissions. If the height of industrial emission source and chimney design are unreasonable, or the treatment equipment is not perfect, it will also lead to the problem of flue gas tail discharge.
