In the early days of the founding of New China, Qingshizui Town was a desolate village belonging to Fengju Township, the fourth administrative region of Menyuan County. After 1958, Zhang Ning and Menqing highways pass through the countryside in a T-shape, becoming the transportation hub connecting Hexi Corridor and Wo He area in Menyuan County. With the development of Qilian Mountain copper mine and Tiemai coal mine and the continuous expansion of Menyuan Racecourse and Giants Farm, it had the scale of a market town in the early 1960s, and gradually formed another industrial, agricultural, commercial, catering service and cultural and educational center in Menyuan County. 1984 was designated as the second county-level township. In 2002, the administrative division was adjusted, and Datan Township was abolished and merged into Qingshizui Town. It has jurisdiction over 65,438+06 villagers' committees including Hongshanzui, Hongye, Heishitou, Shanghanggou, Xiadiaogou, Deqing Ying, Shitougou, Zadatan, Shangtiemai, Dongtiemai, Xitiemai, Shangdatan, Xiadatan, Baitugou and Honggou, with 6,965 households and 30,600 households by the end of 2007. The town is inhabited by Hui people with a population of more than 20,000. There are 3,406 hectares of cultivated land and 2,844,970 mu of grassland.
