Chaoyang weather in Changchun

There are several major water systems in Beijing, such as Yongding River, Shilian Lake and Lugou Bridge, which flow through Sanjiadian Reservoir. Miyun reservoir flows to Beijing Chaobai River and Jingmi diversion canal; And the canal system that runs through Beijing. After careful study, I decided to take the canal system with more historical information. Of course, the distance is not short, at least about 50 kilometers.

Such a good idea should of course be brought to Hu.

Although he refused when he heard the distance of 50 kilometers, who let us be father and son with good feelings?

So in a fresh and cool May Day holiday, we set off!

The route I planned is from the Summer Palace, the most important water conservancy hub in western Beijing, to Tongzhou Beiguan, the most important water conservancy hub in eastern Beijing.

This involves several important branches of the East-West Canal. We'll talk about it when we get there. It's getting late, let's go!

The first stop is the Summer Palace. Geographically, the Summer Palace is more than just a scenic spot. It is the heart of Beijing. Arterial blood flows from Jingmi aqueduct to the Summer Palace, and then from the Summer Palace to the blood vessels in the inner city of Beijing. ...

The topography of Beijing is generally high in the northwest and low in the southeast. This is the trend of the water system from east to west, so the Summer Palace is the starting point of the water system in the inner city of Beijing. The water in the Summer Palace comes out from the south Ruyimen, and the first bifurcation appears under Changchun Bridge.

This is standing on Changchun Bridge and looking south. There is a fork in the left and right waterways ahead.

We choose to take the south long river, that is, the moat of the North Second Ring Road. Here is a brief introduction to the Kunyu River system. Kunyu River flows south, joins Yongding River Aqueduct at the West Diaoyutai, flows into yuyuantan park, flows southeast after leaving Yuyuantan, passes through Muxidi and Tianning Temple Bridge, and then joins Tonghui River along the West Second Ring Road and South Second Ring Road until the east gate of East Second Ring Road. In fact, there is an underground river between Xibianmen and Dongbianmen, that is, the underground of the southern section of beijing subway line 2, which is also the water from Yuyuantan, and all of it flows into Tonghui River.

The reason why I chose Nanchanghe is because I have less riding distance. Besides, there are many scenic spots on this line, such as Manjuji, Zizhuyuan and Zoo. ...

It was from this waterway that the Qing emperor traveled between the Forbidden City and the Summer Palace. Manjuji is a relay pier, where Cixi always disembarked and rested at Manjuji. Now it is also an important cruise terminal.

At Manjuki Cruise Terminal, a two-mile queue can be discharged during the May Day holiday.

After flowing out of the zoo, due to the need to avoid the construction of Xizhimen Beijing North Station, the Nanchang River was zigzag and looked a bit like the Yellow River bend.

After the completion of the "Ji" shape, Nanchang River was renamed as the North Moat. In this ride, the North Moat (the whole North Second Ring Road) is the most satisfactory section. Nanchang River is beautiful, but it is not friendly to cycling. Many sections are interrupted, and some sections are even surrounded by high-end residential areas. It is really rich and omnipotent. The north moat has a complete road along the river, which is very friendly to pedestrians and bicycles. It is only a dozen meters away from the Second Ring Road, where cars and horses are noisy, but this 5-kilometer riverside path is quiet and peaceful. Find a good weather, this is a very good cycling section in the city.

Don't underestimate the Nanchanghe river, which is the water source of a series of "seas" such as the West Sea, Shichahai, Houhai, Beihai and Zhongnanhai. Everyone laughs at these "seas" in Beijing. In fact, before the Qing Dynasty, these seas were connected, and they were really very large waters.

Beautiful north moat

When the north moat reaches Dongzhimen, it forks again. An underground river flows south along the East Second Ring Road, and a Ming River flows east to Chaoyang Park. We choose to go east along the Ming River.

Dongzhimen Water Control Project, in front of it is the underground river flowing to the East Second Ring Road, and in the left hand is the Maliang River flowing to the east.

The north moat continues to flow eastward, which is the Maliang River. Why is it called Liangmahe? It is said that merchants who entered Beijing from the East in ancient times arrived here and soon entered the inner city of Beijing. Everyone washes horses here, and then let them go to Beijing cleanly, so it becomes a homonym here!

Liangmahe, look in the direction of Dongzhimen.

Malianghe passes through Chaoyang Park and Red Scarf Park. We can't go in by bike, so we go around from the outside. Bypassing the red scarf park, just out of the East Fourth Ring Road, the river became like this. The east of Beijing is quite magical. The good place is like Xiao Yun Concert Hall, and the bad place is next to Xiao Yun Concert Hall. That's what it looks like

This is the river that just came out of the Red Scarf Park, next to the shanty towns, which is a mess. It is hard to imagine that it is more than 2000 meters away from the core area of Beijing.

Riding by a smelly river ditch for a long time, riding for 4 hours almost broke us down. But waiting and suffering are worth it. When we saw this photo, ...

I didn't shoot well, so I found a picture from the same angle on the Internet. When we saw this scene, Hu and I were shocked. We asked the same question: Isn't Beijing a city short of water?

The water system of the Summer Palace is all over the inner city of Beijing, filled with moats and Maliang River in the east, west, north and south. At this time, its life is so fragile, and the Chaobai River and Wenyu River, which originated from Miyun Reservoir and Dujun Mountain in Changping, are in Tongzhou not far away, and the water is surging, giving Beijing a shot in the arm.

After that, riding is very simple, riding along Tonghui River. Smelling the unique fishy smell of rivers and lakes all the way, and watching the waterfowl passing by from time to time, I really felt the strangeness of Beijing. Everyone thinks this is a city short of water, but we have just measured the water network and the abundant Tonghui River with wheels. Why is there such a difference? I think it's because Beijing is too big, the Tonghui River is very big and beautiful, and many rivers in the inner city are also beautiful, but it has nothing to do with most Beijingers. Many people seldom go for a walk by these rivers all their lives. Different from small and medium-sized cities, a river flowing through the urban area can be remembered by almost all citizens. ...

Five and a half hours, 60 kilometers, finally rode to the end of this trip: Tongzhou Beiguan. This is the most important water control project in the southeast of Beijing. This is the intersection of five rivers, Wenyu River in Changping, Chaobai River in Miyun, Xiaozhong River in Shunyi, Tonghui River in downtown and Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal (North Canal) in the southeast. The starting point and the ending point meet here.

The island in the middle of the lake at the intersection of the five rivers is the new administrative center of Beijing in the future. We rode from the island in the middle of the lake, which is still a large construction site.

This trip is the connection between Kunming Lake water system and Tonghui River, but the origins of Wenyu River and Chaobai River still attract me deeply, and the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal connected by the North Canal is a fascinating riding challenge. But let's wait for these arrangements. After this battle, Hu has been extremely angry with me.

"How there are five kilometers? Didn't you say there were five kilometers left half an hour ago! "

"There are five kilometers! Can you ride today! "

"Well, is five kilometers a straight line distance or a cycling distance ..."

……

In short, today we are measuring the water system in Beijing!
