The origin of Longmen
Panyu County was established in the 24th year of Qin Shihuang (the first 223 years), and Longmen belongs to Panyu County. In the sixth year of Jian 'an in the Eastern Han Dynasty (20 1), Zengcheng County was separated from Panyu County, and Longmen belonged to Zengcheng County.
In the ninth year of Hongzhi in Ming Dynasty (1496), Xilin, Pingkang, Jinniu in the northeast of Zengcheng County and a small part in the northwest of Boluo County were divided into Longmen County, with Xilin Qixinggang in the county. The county was originally the Shanglongmen area in Zengcheng County, so it was named after Longmen.
Longmen County was subordinate to guangzhou fu from the founding of the county to the end of Qing Dynasty. In the first year of the Republic of China (19 12), it was under the jurisdiction of Guangdong viceroy; In the third year of the Republic of China (19 14), it belonged to Yuehai Road; After ten years of the Republic of China (192 1), he moved to Guangdong province.
In 25 years (1936), it belonged to the fourth administrative supervision area. In 36 years (1947), it belonged to the fifth (special) administrative supervision area.
