Ruili is located in the west of Yunnan Province and belongs to dehong autonomous prefecture. It's located at number 97. 3 1' ~ 98. 02' 23 E. 38 ′ ~ 24. North latitude14 ′. It is connected with mangshi in the east, Longchuan in the north, Myanmar mountains and rivers in the northwest, southwest and southeast, facing the village and adjacent to Muse, a national port city in Myanmar.

It is the only border trade zone in China that implements special management under the mode of "domestic customs clearance". Ruili has a total area of 1020 square kilometers and a total population of more than 200,000 (20 1 1 year). The government is located in Mengmao Town.
