How to calculate the amount of water under simulated light rain
There are two basic instruments for measuring precipitation: rain gauge and rain gauge.
Rain gauge: it is an instrument used to measure the accumulated precipitation over a period of time. The common rain gauge shell is a metal cylinder, which is divided into upper and lower sections. The upper section is a water funnel with a diameter of 20 cm. In order to prevent rainwater from splashing out and keep the area and shape of the container mouth, the mouth of the container is made of straight-edged hard copper. Dump-bucket rain gauge: It is a wired telemetering instrument, which can continuously record the change of precipitation with time and measure the accumulated precipitation. It is divided into two parts: sensor and recorder, which are connected by cable. The sensor is measured by a tipping bucket, which is two completely symmetrical triangular containers separated by a middle partition. The middle partition can rotate around the horizontal axis, so that the containers on both sides can take turns to receive water. When the container on one side is filled with a certain amount of rainwater (0. 1 or 0.2mm), the center of gravity shifts outward and the water is poured out. As the rain continues, the tipping bucket will rotate left and right, and the contact switch will turn the rotation times of the tipping bucket into electrical signals and send them to the recorder.
Siphon rain gauge: Siphon rain gauge is an instrument that can continuously record precipitation and precipitation time. The upper water funnel has the same shape and size as the rain gauge. When rainwater is introduced into the measuring cylinder through the funnel, the float in the measuring cylinder will float with the rise of the water level, driving the self-recording pen to draw the curve of the water level rise on the self-recording paper. When the water level in the measuring cylinder reaches 10 mm, with the help of siphon, the water is quickly discharged, and the pen tip falls back to zero before recording. The self-recording clock gives the cumulative process of precipitation with time. According to the meteorological department, the weather forecast is called rain and snow precipitation, and precipitation is called precipitation, and the unit of precipitation is usually millimeters. 1mm precipitation refers to the water depth per unit area1mm. 1mm How much precipitation falls into the fields? As we know, the area per mu is 666.7m2, so the precipitation of 1mm is equivalent to an increase of 0.667m3 of water per mu. In the weather forecast issued by the meteorological department, there are some professional terms such as light rain, moderate rain and heavy rain. The difference between them is: light rain refers to the rain with the precipitation not exceeding10mm within 24 hours, with the range of 5mm to16.9mm as moderate rain,10mm to 24.9mm as moderate rain, and17mm to 37. If the rainfall exceeds 50 mm in 24 hours, it is called rainstorm; If it exceeds 100 mm, it is called a torrential rain; If it exceeds 250 mm, it is called rainstorm. In weather forecast terminology, different expressions have different meanings. For example, "sporadic light rain" means that the precipitation time is very short, and the precipitation does not exceed 0. 1 mm. "Sometimes there is light rain" means that the weather is gloomy and sometimes there is short-term precipitation. "Shower" refers to the sudden start and end of summer precipitation, one big and one small, with heavy rainfall. "Thunderstorm" means a shower accompanied by thunder and lightning. "There is rain in some areas" means that precipitation occurs in a small area and its distribution is irregular.
