Bozhou and Bozhou are both Anhui people.

Just Bozhou city, not Bozhou city, is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Anhui Province, so Bozhou city belongs to Anhui Province.

1August, 948, Bozhou city was established.

1February, 949, cities and counties merged, Bo County was restored and placed under Fuyang Administrative Office.

On March 1986, 1 1, the State Council abolished the organizational system of Bo County and established Bozhou City (county level). The original administrative area of Bo County was Bozhou City.

1February, 1998, Bozhou City was set aside from Fuyang City and directly under the jurisdiction of Anhui Province.

On May 1 1, 2000, the State Council approved the revocation of county-level Bozhou City and the establishment of prefecture-level Bozhou City.

Bozhou City is located in the northwest of Anhui Province, at the southern end of North China Plain, bordering Shangqiu City of Henan Province in the north, Luyi County and Zhoukou City in the west, Fuyang City in the southwest, Huaibei City and Bengbu City in the east and Huainan City in the southeast.

The whole territory of Bozhou city is in the shape of southeast and northwest syncline, and the whole Bozhou terrain is high in the northwest and low in the southeast, with a natural slope to the southeast of 1/9000. Zhanlou, Qiaocheng District in the northwest, has the highest terrain, with an altitude of 42.5 meters. The south of Zhangou in Lixin County is the lowest in the southeast, with an altitude of 22 meters and a relative drop of 20.5 meters. Due to the meandering cutting change of rivers and the influence of the early Yellow River south invasion, hills, slopes and dish-shaped depressions are alternately distributed in the plain, which has the geomorphological characteristics of "big flat and small uneven".

Bozhou city is connected with the breach of the Yellow River and is a flat plain area. Only in the east, there are more than 0 limestone residual hills 10, such as Longshan, Shigong Mountain, Qishan, Langshan and Shuang Suoshan. Except for the eroded residual hills scattered in Mengcheng and Yang Guo, it is a typical Huang-Huai accumulation landform, and it is a alluvial area of the Yellow River in modern times. Microgeomorphology is divided into flood plain, flood micro-highland, flood slope plain and fan-shaped gap.

The climate of Bozhou City is located in the southern edge of warm temperate zone, belonging to warm temperate semi-humid climate zone, with obvious transitional characteristics, mainly characterized by obvious monsoon, mild climate, abundant sunshine, moderate rainfall, long frost-free period, distinct seasons, changeable temperature in spring, concentrated rain in summer, cool autumn and long dry winter. Due to the climate transition, cold and warm air masses meet frequently, the weather is changeable and the annual precipitation changes greatly. The average annual temperature 14.9℃, average sunshine time 2 184 hours, average frost-free period 2 13 days and average annual precipitation 83 1mm in the whole city.
