What is champagne?

It is a grape sparkling wine produced in Champagne region of France (different from Champagne region and Champagne region in Cognac region) according to strict laws and regulations. Champagne needs to be fermented twice in the bottle to produce carbon dioxide, thus producing bubbles.

According to the law, only in the champagne area of France, sparkling wine brewed according to the prescribed production method and technology can be labeled as champagne. In the United States, due to historical reasons, some local sparkling wines still use the word "champagne" on the label; Chinese mainland protects champagne.

Extended data

There are three kinds of grapes used to brew champagne, namely Chardonnay, Pi Nuo in Pi Nuo and Pi Nuo in Pi Nuo. The choice of varieties determines the different styles. If a champagne is not marked with a specific style, it can default to the standard style, that is, the above three grapes are mixed.

One of the least mentioned but most important factors affecting the taste of champagne is the aging time. Aging can give champagne the aroma of toast, nuts and yeast fermentation. Champagne with the most obvious nut flavor produced by the best winemakers usually takes 5-7 years to reach the market.
