Little things in Liujiage ancient town
Wenfeng Pavilion stands on the riverbank on the east side of Xiaojiatai, Bijiatai Village, Liujiage Town, and is a famous ancient building in the Yongjiang River Basin. Founded in the 14th year of Jiaqing (A.D. 1808), it was rebuilt on the original site in 2004. The tower is 3m in diameter and15m in height. It is a hexahedron with three layers, and the hexagon of each layer is inclined, flying in the air. The walls of each floor are inlaid with gorgeous porcelain paintings. Shaw ancestral hall was originally built beside the pavilion, and the tower pavilion and the quaint ancestral hall are integrated into one, which is more majestic and elegant. The Town God Temple is located one kilometer northwest of the central town of Liu Ge Town. It was originally located in Jingu City, Guyichuan County, and was named after the Town God Temple built on it. 1969 The Chenghuangtai site excavated is 1000 m long and 800 m wide. The unearthed objects include the remains from the Five Dynasties to the Yuan Dynasty. At the end of the Ming Dynasty, the Ming garrison commander of Liujiage ancient city was afraid of being captured by the peasant rebels again, so he imitated his master Emperor Chongzhen's practice of praying for peace in Beijing and set up an altar on the high platform behind the county government, that is, Baohe Terrace. There used to be a magnificent Confucius Temple on the Baohe stage. Every autumn, students get together and compete to win prizes.
Six scenic Zen heads are divided into red and green pubs in the city, with jade belts wrapped around the waist, and dark clouds connected with seven-star pearl gold pots (or plain Qufu) on a snowy night. The horizon is boundless, and the pub is full of people's thoughts. Unexpectedly, it was a fairy in the sky, with peach petals and willow leaves, and the well water turned into dew. Smoke red wine at noon, the color is like agate. Take green wine at noon, which is as thick as jade palace. The red and green tavern is very famous.
The place is prosperous, there are three or two wine sellers, the bridges are gurgling, the weeping willows are lingering, the peach blossoms feel sorry for themselves, the huts stand, and the wine curtains are slightly drunk. The breeze is blowing, but the wine is not intoxicating.
It's a pity that the red and green tavern has become a monument. Famous wines such as Zhuangyuanhong, Zhuyeqing, and Wujiapi, which are now on the market, are said to be inspired by red and green wines. The Liu family is separated by the Fu River in front and the Guanqian River in the back, which is called the inland river, also known as the Jiahe River.
Jiahe River flows eastward from Xiadu Bridge and flows into Fuhe River. Fuhe River is irrigated from the west to Yanbuqiao, and flows into Jiahe River. This has formed a beautiful landscape of clear water around the town. It looks like a jade belt wrapped around the waist of the town, and people have given it a nice name, called jade belt wrapped around the waist.
In order to facilitate pedestrians and enliven business travel, there are five stone and wooden bridges on Jiahe River, including Yanbu Bridge, Huangjia Bridge, Zhafangtai Bridge, Jiexin Bridge and Xiadu Bridge. These five bridges, like five hollow jade buckles on the jade belt, add the image and charm of the jade belt wrapped around the waist. A scene in the racecourse area of Liu Jiage Town: the setting sun is flat, a few grasses are scattered, a few wild flowers are shivering, a few waves are swaying, and a few birds are talking about love. It is really amazing. Look again, Qiu Zi looks around, the pool is clear and shy, the sun kisses at first, the plains are winding and the wonders of the sea and the city meet. Looking at it alone, the colorful clouds hold the skyscrapers, and the colorful clouds spoil the Jingu Pavilion, which is gorgeous and enchanting. It turns out that the plain is Qufu.

A bay with a west arm, seven orifices are drier than the heart. The goddess bathed in the world of mortals, but insisted on falling in love with ordinary voices. A long time ago, there were seven magical natural pools in a place called Sun Jia Lane in Liujiage Town, Hanchuan. This pool of different shapes, big and small, is distributed in the shape of a big dipper, so it is called the Seven-Star Pool. According to legend, this Seven-Star Hall used to be the bath of the Seven Fairies in the Heavenly Palace. At first, the water colors of these seven ponds were different, red, green, orange, yellow, blue and purple, which never overflowed or withered all the year round. On the Christmas Eve of the Queen Mother, when it was still late at night, seven fairies floated into the world in colorful clouds, bathed in their respective baths, and then went to pay their respects to the Queen Mother. Later, with the rise of commerce, dense population and prosperous market in Liujiage Town, it was circled into the city head, gradually forming a downtown area and forming 72 Sun Jia Hutong. At the same time, people's dikes have been built around Qixingtang. As a result, fairies can no longer come to take a bath, and the seven-star pool is broken, and the water in the pool fluctuates with the seasons. In rainy season or rainy year, the pool overflows and washes the ground for many years, forming a canal, crossing the market and blocking the passage.
In the market of Sunjiaxiang, Linqu County, there lived an old couple named He. They are nearly sixty years old and have a good life, but they have no children. Earlier, they used the convenience of the market to turn their living room into a small shop, dealing in daily groceries and earning a few cents to make a living. After decades, in fact, there is not much savings. Although the two old people are always troubled by unfilial behavior, they live a quiet and fulfilling life. However, in recent years, due to more and more water in Qixingtang Canal, the market has been cut off by the waist and pedestrians are inconvenient, and the business of He Laohan's family has become increasingly depressed.
On a cold winter morning, Old Man He slowly opened the door of the shop as before. Outside, a small north wind is blowing sparse snowflakes, floating quietly. There is no snow on the floor, so it doesn't seem to have been raining for a long time. Although it took nearly four minutes, the street was sparsely populated and most shops were not open yet. He Laohan looked up at the sky. It is yellow. It seems that God is determined to have a heavy snow. When he turned to enter the house, he suddenly found a child curled up in the corner under the porch. The child sat on the ground, propped up with two calves, his arms around his knees, his neck contracted and his face hung down on his knees. I can't tell whether it is a man or a woman with long hair. My clothes were dirty and torn, and the hanging rags trembled with my shivering body. Seeing this situation, He Laohan suddenly felt pity, stepped forward and took the child and helped her into the door.
Huang, the old man's wife, was getting up when she saw the old man leading a man in and thought something was wrong. Hearing the old man say that he found the child outside the gate, Huang hurried out of bed and saw the child shivering with cold. He quickly found an old cotton-padded coat to put on her. Huang put his hand into the child's hair and saw that her dirty face was black and blue with cold. He asked the old man to look after the child, went to the kitchen to burn a pot of hot water, washed the child's face and hands, and washed her hair. After all this, Huang combed and tied the child's hair. When he looked carefully, it turned out to be a girl of twelve or thirteen years old with fine features. After eating, the child gradually regained his vitality. When two parents asked about the origin of the child, the little girl shed tears and told her story bit by bit-
Her home is in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, far away from here. What's her surname? Her nickname is elegant. Her father is doing business in Huguang. When she was six years old, her mother died of illness. Soon, her father married her a stepmother, who was extremely kind and kind to her. But it didn't last long. Two years later, when the stepmother's son was just one year old, his father went out to do business. I don't know if I was robbed by a thief or met with difficulties in the Jianghu, and I never went home. Since then, the family has no income and has been idle. Stepmother dragged two children, orphans and widows, struggling. At the age of ten, Daya really couldn't keep going. In desperation, the stepmother took her and her brother to remarry and married a man who raised silkworms in a neighboring village. The man lost his wife the year before last and had a son three years younger than Da Ya. Daya followed her stepmother to the man's house for less than a year. The adoptive father knew that she was not born to this stepmother, so she was extremely cruel to Daya. During the sericulture season, he forced Daya to get up early every day, went to the silkworm house to clean up the silkworm excrement and spread mulberry leaves on the silkworm bed. Then he asked her to send her seven or eight-year-old son to school, put the heavy housework on her as much as possible, and let her have more energy to raise silkworms. In the season of not raising silkworms, her adoptive father forced her, a teenage girl, to work in mulberry fields. Poor little person, at the end of the day, she was exhausted and had nowhere to tell her pain, but she dared not tell her, so she could only secretly cry at night. Fortunately, her stepmother is very kind to her and takes care of her from time to time without telling her husband.
This spring, the climate in their hometown was extremely bad, and the rain was not clear for a long time. Until the early summer, the temperature was still very low, the growth of mulberry branches was slow, the mulberry leaves were insufficient, the silkworm babies did not have enough to eat, and even there were no leaves to feed, which caused great losses to the silkworm people. Daya's adoptive father lost all his money and was born with evil thoughts. He planned to sell Daya to the rich as a child bride. Thanks to Da Ya's stepmother's conscience, I don't want my husband to push her ex-husband's daughter into the fire pit. So one night, when her husband was not at home, she woke Daya up and said to her, Son, you can't stay in this house. No matter how hard it is, I will bring you up. But bad luck, bad silkworm, lost blood. He has a bad heart and intends to sell you to others and push you into the fire pit. Run for your life, go upstream along the Yangtze River and escape to the rich Huguang. If your father knows from the bottom of the spring, he will bless you. If you run for your life, you will end up in a good family. I'm sorry for your father's kindness to me. As she spoke, she tearfully put Da Ya's clothes into a small bag and carried it on her back. Take her out before dawn and tell her to run west along the Yangtze River and never look back. As a result, Daya spent more than half a year, crossing thousands of waters in Qian Shan, begging all the way, and went through all kinds of hardships to come to this land separated by the Liu family.
After listening to Da Ya's life story, Huang was so sad that she burst into tears. After a long time, she asked Daya, I'm freezing to death. Where have you been? Daya said helplessly, where are you going?
He Laohan was also very sad to hear the story of Da Ya. He thought for a moment and said to his wife, I think so. It's freezing Where can this child go? Anyway, our family has a small population and we don't have to worry about food. It doesn't matter much if there are many people for the time being. It's best to leave the children until winter is over and the weather is warm next spring. In fact, Huang had this idea, but it was inconvenient for her husband to take the liberty of proposing it. She listened to her husband's words and quickly said, that's good, that's good! In this way, Da Ya stayed at He Laohan's house. Da Ya is smart and considerate, and is deeply loved by He Laohan and his wife. She works hard, helps her parents manage a small shop and serves them carefully. Both old people have happiness in their eyes.
At first, the neighbors saw that He Laohan's family had a little girl out of thin air and thought it was the child of one of their relatives, so they didn't care. After the Spring Festival, some people wonder if their parents have adopted a child when they see that the child still hasn't left. He was about to ask the old man this question when he just smiled.
In a blink of an eye, it's spring season in bloom, and Daya has lived in He Laohan's house for four or five months. Strange to say, since Da Ya was born, the business of He Laohan's family has become more and more prosperous.
Daya is always quiet. Whenever the shop closes and finishes her work, she often sits quietly at home and stares at the canal water next to the shop, as if she has endless worries. Maybe she is missing her hometown and her father, or she is thinking about where she is going. Old man He guessed Da Ya's heart: Are you worried about what you said when you took her in, lest you drive her away when the weather is warm? To tell the truth, Daya has been with her parents for several months, and they didn't even want to kick her out. I want to keep her, and I don't know if Daya wants to. The two old people didn't say anything, and Da Ya didn't offer to leave.
However, all the neighbors knew that Da Ya was the child picked up by He Laohan, so they encouraged their parents to adopt her as their daughter. One night, Old Man He said to Da Ya: Da Ya, you are a child with bad debts. After these months in my house, we like you very much. Your family name is He, so am I. Five hundred years ago, we were a family, and we came from the same family. My parents have no children, and you are homeless. Stay and be our daughter! Hearing this, Da Ya immediately knelt on the ground and kowtowed, calling Mom and Dad. The next day, He Laohan set a table of wine, invited several small and prestigious neighbors as witnesses, and officially accepted Da Ya as his daughter.
After being the daughter of He Laohan, Da Ya became more diligent, clever and lovely, which made her parents taste the happiness of human relations for the first time. Although Daya is only a 13-year-old girl, she has suffered a lot and is sensible and capable. Whether it's helping parents run the shop or doing housework, they do it flawlessly. When the neighbors saw him, they all envied He Laohan for having a good daughter, saying that their good people were rewarded, which must be arranged by God.
The business of He Laohan's family is booming. It should be said that no matter what, there is nothing unsatisfactory. But Daya was in a daze when he saw the canal next to the shop. He Laohan and Huang sometimes ask her what she thinks, but she just smiles and doesn't answer. The old couple couldn't help wondering: What's on the mind of a girl of thirteen or fourteen?
In a blink of an eye, big teeth are as beautiful as a fairy. Dark cloud-like hair, thin arch eyebrows, watery eyes, white and red goose eggs, and there are always two shallow dimples on the face. The slim figure is really loved by everyone.
As the saying goes, men should get married and women should get married. The prominent Liu family in Mancheng Street hopes that their son can marry He Daya, not only because she is beautiful, but also because she is virtuous and capable. In He Laohan's house, the matchmaker always comes to propose marriage in three or two days. It's really a foster home. He Laohan has his own ideas: children suffer from childhood, so they need to carefully choose a good family and husband for her, and they can't agree hastily; Daya also has her own troubles: two old people have no children and no daughters. Since he entered this home, the two old people have regarded themselves as their own and are grateful as a mountain. They didn't pay them back. If they get married earlier, they won't be lonely anymore. How can they get married easily? Therefore, when parents mentioned this matter, Da Ya immediately confessed to her parents that she was too young to talk about marriage in a hurry, so He Laohan politely refused all the people who came to propose.
You see, two years later, Daya is already an 18-year-old girl and looks even more beautiful and charming. The dudes of wealthy businessmen in the street covet the beauty of Daya, and always wander in front of He Laohan's shop when they have something to do, and go into the shop to see Daya in the name of shopping. Some frivolous children tease or flirt with each other in front of Daya. Whenever this happens, Da Ya either evades or greets politely.
The two old men, He Laohan, saw it in their eyes and thought: When their daughters grow up, they belong to others after all. We can't really leave her at home all her life. We have to find a good relative for her and choose a good husband to marry. He Laohan told his daughter about it, and Da Ya pondered for a long time, saying that her daughter wanted to spend her life with her parents to repay them for saving her life. Since my father is going to marry his daughter, I can't go against my father's wishes. I think the children of wealthy businessmen who live opposite the Liu family are all dandies, and none of them are honest. They just covet my beauty, but they don't want to be together. Marry far away, even if you can find the right husband, but away from your parents and lose care, your son can't bear it. Speaking of this, Da Ya was a little sad and said with tears: In recent years, I have been thinking that as a daughter, it is difficult to get rid of the secular when she grows up, and marriage is inevitable. 2. Who should the elderly depend on in their later years? Seeing the canal next to the shop hindered our business. Intentionally building bridges and invigorating the market will not only benefit the people, but also make my store prosperous in the future. But as a daughter, I don't have enough money How easy is it to build a bridge? Focus, might as well ... Speaking of which, stop talking.
The old couple couldn't figure out what their daughter was going to do when they saw that she was awkward. It's not convenient to ask, they just shake their heads and sigh. Just listen to Da Ya continue to say: How about this: whoever is willing to pay to build a bridge in the canal and promise to take care of two old people until they die, the daughter will marry off. If not, the daughter can only resign herself to fate. Aren't all the big families in the city who want to marry me rich? You help me set up a wooden platform in the middle of the canal. I stood on the platform and let the children of rich families throw gold ingots and silver ingots at me. The man who hit me was my husband. Although this is detrimental to the daughter's reputation, the marriage has its own destiny, similar to throwing colored balls to attract relatives. In this way, a large amount of gold and silver may be raised, enough for parents to support the elderly and build bridges. I wonder if the parents agree? He Laohan certainly disapproved of his daughter's practice, and even said it was inappropriate. But think calmly, what my daughter said is not unreasonable. I thought I'd let it go and talk about it later. Who knows Daya is in the shop every day, advertising for those dudes. As a result, as soon as they heard that they wanted to build a bridge and adopt their parents, no one could make a generous commitment, but they were very interested in throwing gold ingots to get engaged. Everyone is thinking that this method is cheap and cost-effective. The center of the canal is only twenty paces from the shore. If you are lucky, luck will decide, maybe a throw will decide your life. So everyone tried to persuade Daya to choose a spouse in this way.
Another year passed, and Daya was 20 years old. She was an old maid at that age. He Laohan had no choice but to agree that Da Ya was not the right way. He hired an artificial man, built a wooden platform in the middle of the canal, and chose an auspicious day of the ecliptic, so that the Liu family could cast gold ingots for every interested unmarried youth, and those who cast elegance could get engaged with them.
In advance, Daya and her parents agreed that all the money from investing in their parents would be turned over to the Xiancheng yamen stationed in Liujiage, who would build the bridge on their behalf, and signed a contract with Xiancheng's adult, pleading with Xiancheng's adult to maintain it on the day of investing in betrothal. At the same time, Xiao Yu said that young people who come to throw silver will throw silver for an hour, from the end of the morning to the end of the fourth quarter. Within an hour, if there is a hit, it will end immediately and enter into an engagement; If you miss the target, throw it another day.
On that day, after breakfast, Daya put on a white dress, accompanied by his parents, walked onto the wooden platform, lit incense sticks, made a vow to tell God, made four obeisances, and then stood gracefully in the middle of the wooden platform. In the street, in front of He Laohan's shop, young men who came to try their luck were holding bulging wallets or boxes of gold and silver ingots in their hands, full of hope that they could throw out a beautiful girl and marry a beautiful wife. On both sides of the canal, men, women and children were crowded with people, blocking the streets on both sides.
It's time. The silver toss has begun. One by one, the rich children secretly prayed for more attention from heaven, stroking their sleeves and arms, aiming at He Daya's figure and throwing gold and silver ingots in turn, all hoping to hit with one shot. Strangely, I saw that the ingot I threw flew towards Daya, but when I got to her, it landed on the wooden platform. I didn't see the ingot touch me. The more you miss, the more anxious you are. The faster you throw, the faster you miss. Someone's wallet is empty, and his eyes are red with anxiety, yelling at servants and attendants to go home and get it. Some ingots rolled off the stage, and spectators scrambled to pick them up. The discoverer was glad that he had won the gold ingot, but on closer inspection, it turned out to be a stone.
Seeing that an hour is coming, no one has thrown it away. Some people are discouraged and are no longer ready to throw ingots into the water. At this moment, a beggar throwing money suddenly appeared in the crowd. He is in his twenties, unkempt, with a beard and bare breasts. Dark skin, dressed in black, a big charcoal stick from head to toe. With a black crutch in his right hand and a black gourd hanging from the top of the crutch, he limped to the canal and looked at He Daya and smiled twice. He Daya saw, suddenly face changed, stupefied. I saw the beggar take out a gold ingot from his pocket and put it on the dirty clothes. The ingot was shining. Just at that moment, the beggar stared at He Daya on the wooden platform, raised his hand, and a golden light rushed to the stage and hit He Daya in the front.
Everyone present saw it clearly and was shocked. At this time, the beggar jumped on the wooden platform and said to Daya, Sister, please! You have finished your work. Go back to the mountain! As he spoke, he uncovered the gourd cover, put down the gourd mouth and shouted! I saw that those gold ingots and silver ingots, whether they fell on the stage or in the canal, were all taken into the gourd. Then, leaning on a crutch in one hand and holding a big ya in the other, he began to shout, only to see a piece of Qingyun at his feet, holding them both up, rising higher and higher, and drifting southeast.
It all happened in a flash. When people realized what had happened, they all knelt down and paid tribute to the fluttering Yun Lan. Look at that wooden table with four boxes of gold ingots on it. Xian Cheng ordered four boxes of gold ingots to be carried back to the yamen. According to the prior agreement, Xiancheng decided to give He Laohan a box, which is not only a reward for He Daya's years of parenting, but also a pension for his parents. However, He Laohan refused to accept his resignation. The reason is that since his daughter can become immortal, his parents can also be saved from becoming immortal. Sure enough, he's parents live to be in their nineties and have nothing to eat all their lives. Suddenly one day, they both died on the same day.
With money, it is easy for Xiancheng yamen to handle affairs. Anyway, it is taken from the people and used by the people. So he immediately started construction and built a bridge next to He Laohan's shop on the canal. Anyone who has the ability to work in the city, in order to climb the immortal, regardless of men, women and children, carries stones and earth, hoping to earn the gold ingots that have passed through the hands of the immortal and get a little fairy spirit. So the project is progressing rapidly and will be completed soon. When the bridge is about to be completed, three stone slabs are missing from the deck. Just as the craftsmen complained that the designer's budget was too poor to do anything, a white cloud floated in the sky and stayed above the bridge construction site. He Daya was seen standing in the clouds, dressed in the clothes of Tsing Yi and Taoist priests. I saw that she waved at the bridge, and three bluestones fell from the sky and were accurately embedded in the bridge deck. Then he smiled at everyone, bowed to He Laohan's shop and drifted away.
It turns out that He Daya is the embodiment of He Xiangu, and the Liu people don't know that her fairy road has become a reality. They mistakenly thought that He Xiangu was a local, so they became immortals when they built the bridge. At the beginning, she and Tie Guai Li drove Qingyun, dressed in white; I drove the white clouds and came back in Tsing Yi to tell the Liu family that I have no suspicion of men and women in He Xiangu. When I went, I was green (clear). When I came, I was green (clear). I was a man in vain and became an immortal in vain.
After the completion of the bridge, it is very spectacular. The bridge is fifteen or sixty feet long and three feet wide. It is a nine-hole horizontal rainbow bridge. On both sides of the bridge, there are 27 pillars, each like a lotus. There is a hollow carved stone slab between the two columns, on which are carved all kinds of lotus flowers, some just out of the water, some half open, some full open and some lotus flowers. It is said that in order to commemorate He Xiangu and celebrate He Xiangu's merits, the designer adopted a bridge railing design with harmony. When the canal water rises, at first glance, the whole bridge is like a lotus reflecting a rainbow, which is beautiful. This bridge, among the thirteen bridges separated by the Liu family at that time, was the first and only one.
As He Xiangu was left by Qingyun, this bridge was named Qingyun Bridge, and the street where it is located was also named Qingyun Street.
More than a thousand years ago, the vicissitudes of life have changed dramatically. Qingyun Bridge and Qingyun Street have become white clouds and yellow cranes. Although its completion is full of legend, there are bridges and streets in the history of Liujiage. Over the years, villagers in Sunjiacang and three village have often dug up the remains of ancient streets and houses, and once dug up a stone tablet engraved with the story of Qingyun Street. There is also a record of Qingyun Bridge in Hanchuan County Annals in the 12th year of Tongzhi in Qing Dynasty. Liu Jiage's old friend Mr. Wang Wenbing (2) can accurately point out the location of Qingyun Street and say that Qingyun Bridge is near Sun Jia Lane. In the vegetable garden of Sunjiaxiang villagers, there are still traces of Qixing soup.
Note: ① The story of Stone Street is a small stone tablet with the word Qingyun Street engraved on it. Due to the lack of common sense of cultural relics at that time, it was not properly preserved after being unearthed and lost.
(2) Wang Wenbing, a native of Liuge who failed to study, served as the shopkeeper of Liuge fishing line for many years before his death, and was quite familiar with local historical materials and customs. 1962 died at the age of 66.
