Brief introduction of Kunming

As the capital city of Yunnan, Kunming is the political, economic and cultural center of Yunnan. Although it is a huge city (population 3.75 million), Kunming is exceptionally clean and tidy. Besides, this city has the best climate of all cities in China, commonly known as "Spring City". Kunming has no severe winter and heat, and four distinct seasons.

Although this city is not the final destination for many tourists to Yunnan, Kunming has many attractions for tourists. The rich cultural and historical heritage here provides a lot of wealth. Jinmiao Park and Banwu Temple are indispensable sites on the tourist route.

The city also has many natural attractions, among which the Stone Forest is the most popular and has won the world reputation for its amazing beauty.

Another fascinating aspect of this city is the prosperity of many different cultures and nationalities here. People here hold various cultural and religious activities, which add vitality and color to Kunming's urban life. These different ethnic minorities have produced a wealth of delicious food and inspired the tired tourists in China.

As early as 2000 years ago, Kunming was an important textile distribution center on the "Southern Silk Road", which started in Sichuan, passed through Yunnan and extended to Vietnam. 19 10, the Yunnan-Vietnam Railway (from Yunnan to Vietnam) was opened, thus making Kunming a commercial and industrial center.

Tourism is now one of the main incomes here.
