Jiaoling County, formerly known as zhenping county, is located in the northeast of Guangdong Province, on the upper reaches of Hanjiang River, bordering Pingyuan County in the west, Meixian County in the southeast and Wuping County and Shanghang County in Fujian Province in the north.
