Why do thunderstorms often occur in summer but rarely in winter?
Silly thunder usually occurs in summer, because the unique high temperature in summer will lead to the increase of ground temperature, and the precipitation or surface water in summer is also sufficient, so the amount and speed of water evaporation are very fast. When water vapor rises to the sky, cold air will come up, so after the hot and cold air meet, a large area of black clouds will gradually form. These dark clouds are also called cumulonimbus clouds. Cumulonimbus clouds are relatively low in summer due to high water content.
Summer is often sunny in Wan Li and cloudy in Wan Li, which is also a shower. Showers are also caused by cumulonimbus clouds. Showers are usually accompanied by lightning and thunder, because thunder is caused by static electricity generated by convective weather communication. Strong convective weather occurs above the cumulonimbus cloud, so extreme positive and negative electricity will appear above and below the cumulonimbus cloud. Because these positive and negative charges will repel each other, the rainfall will be quick and the range will be relatively small.
It often thunders in summer and seldom in winter, mainly because the climate in winter does not have the conditions of cumulonimbus clouds. In winter, whether on the ground or in the air, the temperature is relatively low, and convection is unlikely to occur. In summer, air convection is extremely strong, and the conditions for generating lightning are sufficient, so the probability of natural occurrence is much greater.
In fact, in some places with four distinct seasons, each season has its own unique climate state. For example, the high temperature and rainfall in summer are special, and it is unlikely to occur in other seasons. In many places, summer and winter are opposites, such as high temperature and severe cold. Therefore, the climate in these two seasons is special, and naturally the same situation will not occur.
In addition to different seasons, thunder, lightning, rainfall and other conditions also have great correlation with the region, which is not as high as the probability of strong thunder at the seaside, because there will be typhoons in coastal areas. However, in mountainous areas or inland areas, the thunder is particularly loud, even accompanied by certain destructive power. So every place or climate on the earth has its own unique environment, and these principles are worth studying.
