Ask an expert! Why are the strawberries in my greenhouse not sweet?

The reasons for poor quality and low sugar content of strawberry fruit are that too much nitrogen fertilizer inhibits the absorption of other elements, especially trace elements, soil acidification or salinization, abnormal temperature or rainy weather, and insufficient photosynthetic products will all reduce the quality of strawberry fruit. Applying potassium fertilizer in the middle and late stage of fruit development is beneficial to increase the anthocyanin content, quality and color of fruit. Proper application of mineral elements such as calcium, molybdenum and boron and spraying rare earth microelements can also improve fruit quality and sugar content.
