The local climate in Vietnam is a tropical rainforest climate, where there are many forests and dense vegetation. Many US troops are mechanized, but in the forest, tanks and artillery are simply inaccessible. Only air planes can be used. However, due to the dense trees, the helicopters in the air could not see the Vietnamese troops in the forest, so they could only fly at low altitudes, responsible for searching for the Vietnamese troops and then reporting to the ground forces.

Tanks and artillery are inoperable, and in the end, only soldiers can enter. Although the U.S. military at the time was powerful, they had little experience in the jungle. The climate of the tropical rain forest is humid. At first, when the US troops came to Vietnam, they felt very uncomfortable. Due to weather conditions, the combat effectiveness of the US military has been greatly reduced. At that time, someone thought of setting fire to the forest and forcing the Vietnamese army out of the forest. Once the forest turns into a mountain, the U.S. military's equipment superiority can be reflected. But this plan was only implemented once or twice, and then the US military gave up. There are actually several reasons. First, Vietnam has a tropical rainforest climate. It rains all year round, so the trees are highly hydrated. At times, the U.S. military dropped fuel bottles and could only burn the tops of trees. There is a reason why the fire extinguishes itself before reaching the middle.

The second point is that it often rains in the tropical rainforest climate, and the Molotov cocktail was damaged by the rain before it was hit by the rain. If there is a non-monsoon season, it is difficult to burn the forest. When the rainy season comes, the forest will still return to its original state.
